Stayed two nights here. Walking distance to everything including the island fortress although we chose to use the shuttle bus available at the causeway. The room was clean and well appointed -- even had electric jug and tea and coffee making [very important inclusion for us!!]. We had a balcony and views of the 'rock'. Clean and safe swimming directly across the road with beach showers. Breakfast was well provisioned and we were able to find something to eat each morning. There are some great restaurants along the waterfront around near the harbour and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the water to enjoy a drink before venturing out. Parking is on the street but no problem. The lady at reception [sorry can't remember her name] was very helpful and they reset the wifi promptly when we reported that it was not working. We really enjoyed our stay here and are happy...

We were so entertained with both Gefyra and Monemvasia and comfortable in the hotel that we stayed...
Read moreNice family owned hotel in a fabulous location. The owner and staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. I think most if not all of the rooms have a balcony. Ours faced the sea with an amazing view of the water and the rock. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. Everything we needed was a short walk away. Parking was easy with lots of spaces near the hotel. The beach is steps away and they kindly loaned us some beach towels. The water was clear and warm, but it's a bit stony so I recommend wearing water shoes. Overall, a great place to stay while...
