07.06.2025 to 10.06.2025 - |If you are thinking about booking this Villa, Suite, then you will be very disappointed. Me and my husband arrived on Saturday morning. We were greeted by Eleni who was very professional. She showed us to our room and left. This 5 star hotel advertised a bottle of wine in our room which is complimentary. Well that never happened. Secondly, we were not happy with the room as the plunge pool was on our left and sheltered so the water was freezing. We complained to the Manager Dimitries the Manager who informed us there will be a charge to move but in the end he decided not to change us. The next morning we called reception and they didn’t get back to us until 11.30am before they stated moving us into the room which was 2 rooms down. and they said they wouldn’t charge us. In the morning, we went for breakfast to find it was Mediterranean and they charge €18 euros for an omelette and an extra charge for ham and bacon. We were disgusted as it’s meant to be a 5 star with full breakfast instead it’s a cold breakfast. They charge €8 euros for water and they were going to charge us for the ice bucket but we said we needed the ice for our mosquito bites as we were both badly bitten. The taxi into town costs €80 euros return daily. The hotel is on one side of the island and then the town is on the other side of the island. We met Kiki at the airport from Elite First Class Chauffeur and Transfer service so we used her Company for the 3 days we were there as it was cheaper to use Kiki’s company. We originally booked 4 nights 5 days but we decided to pay £330 to fly back a day early. Dimitries informed us he could not reimburse us for the room as we’re leaving one day early which was very disappointing. It just felt like a money making scheme. The room was clean but had no iron and they were going to charge us €5 euros per item which was ridiculous so we had to buy an iron. The staff have only been working at this hotel a short while about 2 months so they really need to look after their Guests if they want holiday makers to return. I will not be returning to this 3 star again. We’ve stayed in much better 5 star Hotels with great Amenities and they have, an iron, two types of breakfast from Mediterranean and Continental breakfast and hot food. The restaurant prices were diabolical prices. We had to eat out as it was too expensive to eat here and the menu was so limited. I’m a vegetarian and I’m not paying €18 euros for a salad. They had no real food apart from sea food. The views from our bedroom was lovely with the sunset. There’s nowhere to walk as it’s rocky everywhere you go so I would advise definitely to pack trainers, walking shoes but no heals I even couldn’t wear my sandals as it’s really steep so trainers would have a...
Read moreWe have spent three nights in one of Collini Villas`whirlpool suites. The location is great if you love sunsets and views of Mykonos town. It goes without saying that you need a car (or taxi) and it's a 15min drive from downtown. The front desk employees, cleaning staff and waiters are very nice and took good care of us. Our room was spotless. The hotel complex is well-kept (note: there are a lot of stairs and steps to the rooms, the restaurant and the pool) However, there were several things that I would like to point out and that let this result in only a 3* review:
salty water in the shower and from the tab (we were said that the tabwater isn't drinkable and we used bottled water instead but of course you still taste it when showering) only two little hooks in the shower (nowhere else to hang towels, beachtowels, bathingsuits, etc) only one light in the bathroom that points directly (and i mean: directly) in your face, when you're between 1,77 and 1,85m tall bathroom has a swing door with creaky hinges bad plastering around the toilet flushing, little mould spores on the ceiling and silicone sealing peels off on the bathroom window (hotel was opened last year) the full size mirror is on the inside of the closet door and you can't open the door wide enough to see yourself in it the room door is glass and the curtain isn't opaque, so i woke up one morning to the staff right behind the glass and see-through curtain cleaning the pool (which we weren't informed about) and waited to go to the bathroom until they were done due to the mix of desinfected and cleaning products used for the whirlpool, we had yellowish bubbles one night and my bikini got stained (front desk took care of it and they cleaned it but we didn't use the whirlpool again) none of the rooms, their terraces and pools (as far as it seemed to us) have complete privacy. So please be aware that people might directly pass by or walk straight towards your private areas and can also look from the front desk area or the public pool or from their rooms and terraces. fresh orange juice is an extra (not included in the breakfast) and costs ten euros, which we think is absurd considering the room rates in the room you find a note asking to be considerate with the use of towels - we still got new ones every day even though we put them back on the hooks after using them plasticstraws (wrapped in plastic) in the restaurant
Most of these things can be easily fixed. However, I still wanted to give a very detailed review because I think for such a high rate per night and only great reviews, you should expect perfection. At least we did and we were...
Read moreCollini Suite and Villas is set in a stunning, tranquil location high up on a hill, offering breathtaking views. The serene surroundings make it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle while still being reasonably close to key destinations. Elia Beach is about a 25-minute drive away, and the Old Town is just 15 minutes by car, making it a convenient yet peaceful place to stay.
While the room I stayed in had a jacuzzi, which was a nice touch, I found the overall organization lacking. The bathroom didn’t offer any shelves or places to hang towels, except for one small hook by the sink, which was far from practical. It’s disappointing not to have any proper storage for basic items.
The wardrobe is large, but it has no shelves. This lack of organization meant my clothes ended up all over the place, as I couldn't properly store them unless they stayed tightly folded. I think the hotel should reconsider the interior design of the rooms. Splitting the wardrobe into two sections—one side for hanging clothes and the other with shelves—would make a huge difference. Additionally, the space opposite the balcony door could easily accommodate a narrow shelf or console. This would provide a surface for guests to keep some of their belongings without cluttering the room.
I also had breakfast included during my stay, but only used it twice in 12 days. The offering was quite basic—Greek yogurt, some nuts and honey, a bit of cheese, and cold-cut meats. What really left a sour taste was being charged €9.50 for a bottle of sparkling water at breakfast! This was a first for me, especially considering I wasn't having much—just a small bowl of yogurt and some fruit. For a hotel, it's more about hospitality, and offering a simple, reasonably priced sparkling water would have been more appropriate. To charge such an extreme price for artisan water seemed excessive, especially when I could get a large bottle of San Pellegrino at the beach for €6. This marked-up price left me feeling that the hotel was quite greedy, and it discouraged me from spending any additional money there.
On a positive note, the staff was overall nice and welcoming. They even offered me a free late check-out, which made my last day much more enjoyable. Their friendliness and this small gesture of hospitality certainly added to the experience.
While the location and view were fantastic, the lack of room organization and the overpriced extras took away from the overall experience, though the helpful staff made up for some of the...
