Poseidon Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Nafplio

My husband and just returned from 3 weeks in Greece. We spent the first 2 weeks Island Hopping and seeing the sights. Our last week we planned to hop around the mainland a little. We just happened upon this hotel and absolutely fell in LOVE! In fact, we loved it so much we cancelled the rest of our travels and stayed there the last 4 days of our trip. The town of Tolo is small, authentic and so inviting. The Staff at Poseidon Apartments was so friendly and welcoming, we felt like family! I just can't say enough about the staff. I was grateful to have met them. The room was simple, but spacious and beautiful. Every room has a sea view. The view and the proximity to the sea were amazing. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast delivered to our room each morning, set on the veranda overlooking the sea. The beach chairs and umbrella were a great touch and the beach was quiet, with soft sand and an amazing view. On the way to the Airport, we stayed the last night in a 5-star hotel, but I have to say I much preferred the Poseidon Apartments. Absolutely amazing how this place is called a hotel and has some positive reviews!||Everything inside the room is at least 30 years old.. |Our bathroom was inappropriate for any use. Flying tiny objects were on the shower tiles and on the floor has been created a kind of bacteria-mud from the years..||Not enough electricity power to charge a mobile, not enough water pressure to take a shower.||All the electricity cabling is fixed out of the walls, my back still hurts from this very very stiff and very old mattress, matching perfectly with this old bed from 80's!||The breakfast is served on the street pavement and the way to the beach passes through a garage next to owner's father in law appartment...||The only positive thing inside the room is the sea view!! First you are not renting an apartment, the Poseidon Apartments has 7 rooms with a bathroom each and an individual terrace each. The rooms are small and breakfast is served on a tray and you consume it in your room or on the terrace. There is no breakfast room. You find a mini fridge in the room and a water heater, but there are no cups or any other utilities to make use of the water you can to boil. The owner is friendly, however when I mentioned that the toilet seat was broken, I was told that it jus t happened 2 days ago, but I could see no effort to repair or replace it during our...
