Rude and angry staff in the reception. This was actually a wonderful beach apartment and beautiful gardens but the two staff members in the reception were so unpleasant, rude and with such a bad attitude that we will never come back.
The apartment was big, clean and spacesious with a big porch. The surrounding area was well kept with lots of beautiful flowers.
The restaurant staff both in the evening restaurant and the breakfast restaurant were smiling, friendly and very attentive and polite. We ate oven baked lamp and pork chop in the evening. It tasted great.
The beach (under water) was not good. Full of uneven cliffs and rocks and covered with some unpleasant slimy seaweed. The water was close to impossible to enter in front of the hotel. If you walk to the other end of the beach in front of the camping site, we were able to enter the water. The beach (over water) was sand and gravel/small rocks.
At our departure we met another front desk staff member. We were returning our 3 beach towels to get back the enormous deposit of 45 € (!!! 15€ per towel). The man would only give back 40 € because he said there was a local tax. 5€ tax on beach towels!! He had just clearly stated that we had prepaid all of our stay, so that was all settled. Suddenly he changed his reason for wanting the 5€. It was tax on the room. It all seemed very strange. He was rude, angry and very impolite. I didn’t want to argue any further on this matter so I let him have his 5 € and left. I will gladly pay the local tax which is sometimes included and sometimes not. If there was a misunderstanding - fair enough. But the attitude of the staff was just terrible.
I can’t recemmend this hotel to anyone. Greece has som many other pleasant places to choose from. The 2 stars are one for the apartment and one for the other staff working in the...

Read moreWe had booked 5 days at this hotel, unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to a cyclone that weather reports indicated that the eye would hit directly over the hotel. When we requested of the manager would allow us to leave two days early he required we pay 40% of the remaining two days, very dissatisfied. When I told him two years previously less that a kilometer from the hotel a resort was destroyed he denied it. The hotel had already covered all of their beach facilities and I suspect they lost electricity. The area ended up suffering great damage, restaurants were closed and there was wide spread flooding. Leaving early was a wise decision, unfortunately we paid for nearly a full day. Our concern was for our safety, they should refund our penalty especially since they shut down Booking.com because they must have had issues. We would have been trapped, the government told people to shelter in place and we would not have been able to have access to food for two days. News reports in the area indicated many issues. Frankly the management should have encouraged people to check out not stay, very very irresponsible.
To provide balance I do want to say that this is an excellent faculty, good breakfast and nice rooms. The pool and beach was nice. We did not eat dinner there due to our...
