The house is located in a gated garden togehther with two other houses. The garden is beatifully designed and maintained and you seldom get to see or hear the other guests. Nobody can see into your terasse and pool area and you can run around naked all day if you wish to do so. The view is simply breathtaking as you have the mountains on one side and a glimpse of rethymo and the whole sea on the front. The house is equipped with everything one can wish for including a dishwasher and a washing machine. Air Condition is sized properly and held the house at a comfy 25 degree. We were welcomed by Mrs. Sini who is always there if you need anything. Welcome package for 1st days breakfast included. The house is cleaned by Mrs. Sini herself and staff every 3 days incluing a towel and bedsheet change - more than enough for us ! Pool is maintained daily by Mrs. Sinis husband. From the location you can reach at least 15+ south and north beaches within a 15- 45 kms including preveli beach. our favorite clearly was schinaria beach and the 10 sandy kms of episcopi beach(check out rockas beach bar and vanilla beach bar). Perfect location for the mobile tourist who likes to visit lots of locations and still wants to have a refugium with all due comfort far from the mass tourist nightmare down in rethymon. The ONLY issue we had with the house was the wisth of the master bed which is with 1,40m clearly too small for two people, especially when you are - like me - 1,90 m. I strongy advised the owner to change this as the room is big enough even for a kingsize. All in all clearly one of the best locations we have been to so far - strongly recommended !

Edit 2025: This year in the Villa Efrosini and I really need to admit it tops even the Villa Katerina :) Wonderful large terrace, stunning views down to the sea while having the relaxed mindset of the whole property owned by super friendly hosts taking care all time. Really a little piece of paradise to relax during your vacation.

Eine Urlaubsdestination der besonderen Art. Die Luxusvillen mit eigener Zufahrt, gesichert durch ein elektrisches Tor, bestechen durch ihre außergewöhnliche Lage. Unsere gemietete Villa nannte sich „Efrosini“ Wohnfläche sind laut Anbieter ca. 75 m².
Die Begrüßung bei Anreise war einmalig gastfreundlich und so liebevoll, wie selten erlebt.
Mrs. Sini empfing uns an der Villa, um uns diese zu erklären und Tips und Tricks zu geben. Da wir sehr viel später als geplant eintrafen, hatte sie vorsichtshalber alles an Dingen besorgt die für die erste Nacht nötig wären. Eine Flasche Wein, ein bunter Obstkorb und frisch geschnippeltes Gemüse um uns zu stärken, sowie frisches Brot und etwas griechischen RAKI. Der Kühlschrank beherbergte Nahrungsmittel, wie Wasser, Milch, etwas Käse, ja sogar Bier hatte sie eingekauft.
Die Inneneinrichtung ist wundervoll, in sich sehr stimmig und von den Besitzern mit viel Liebe und Herzblut eingerichtet. Im großen Wohnzimmer und im Schlafzimmer befindet sich eine moderne Klimaanlage mit Fernsteuerung zum Programmieren. Sämtliche Fenster verfügen über elektrisch betriebene Außenrolläden. Das Bad hat eine Wanne und ist ausreichend geräumig.
Internet ist per WLAN vorhanden, die Qualität ist ausgezeichnet. Sat-TV mit dt. Sendern ist vorhanden (wer es denn braucht)
Die gesamte Villa ist super sauber und gepflegt. Wenn man vom Wohnzimmer auf den riesengroßen Außenbereich kommt, wird man vom Panorama und der fantastischen Aussicht erschlagen. Der Blick schweift von den Bergen, über das nebenan befindliche Tal, bis hin zum Meer und in der Ferne Rethymnon. Der Pool misst ca. 7 x 3m wird täglich gereinigt und man hat immer den Blick auf die Berge und das Meer. Vom hinteren Teil der Terrasse, mit Blick zur Schlucht, ist es möglich freilebende Adler zu beobachten. Abends schaltet sich automaisch die Poolbeleuchtung an und erzeugt eine idyllische Atmosphäre.
