We stayed at this hotel in June for 2 weeks it was beautiful. We hired a car for a few days and it was worth it driving around seeing the other islands of Hilkadiki and they are all very different. There was no where to walk outside of the hotel if you like walking. There is a hotel bus that you can book to go into town at set times. There is a nice beach there. The hotel beach is very small with a small amount of sunbeds and is stones. There are some nice little beaches when you walk along the road, but quite a walk along the road they are sandy. We used the sister hotel Lily Ann round the corner in walking distance for the day as they had a pool on the beach and sunbeds. We had to pay 10 euros for a drink the the beds were free. Car hire is very reasonable and worth it. The roads were not busy so worth driving. There is a little mini market for milk and biscuits sun lotion. We had an armona suite and payed extra for the sunbeds with the room but worth it. It had a big bedroom and a separate sitting room. The air con was incredible. We were half board and the breakfast and evening meal we beautiful lots and lots of choice of beautiful fresh food. We had bar salads of chicken and tuna for lunch and wine and water with our evening meal and added it to our bill it added about £350 to our holiday bill for 2 weeks. We did find that people from the rest of the hotel found our pool and with it being nicer than the main pool came to spend the day there. However all the sunbeds are allocated to the rooms surrounding the pool and there are not spare beds there maybe a few chairs at the bar. I noticed that people went out to their beds and had to tackle people sitting on them. Also the fact that you can pay for drinks and food on your room, when people are on your beds it could be a problem they could sign their orders on someone's room. I think that this needs to be looked at and addressed by the hotel Greece is very green and there is a reason for this it rains alot 🌧 but often at night and dries up quickly. But well worth a visit to this hotel, great holiday They have a beautiful and different sunset every day. I know this is long and maybe a bit muddled but tried to cover all the points 👉 👈 for you to have a good idea

I, like several families before us, leave this hotel full of disappointment and feeling cheated. A hotel that until two years ago was a concept of a level, worthy of all five stars, this year is a concept of the collapse of the system. Twelve days of monotonous food, empty bowls on the buffet table, stale vegetables, a pot of beans that no one eats has been standing for days. Cured meat products from yesterday on the table,... And hygiene! It was like yesterday they opened the hotel. Untrimmed fences, dirty passages, dirty stairs, dirty tiles around the pool,... Rooms with dirty floors, towels are changed when they arrive, sometimes late in the afternoon. They change the bed linen when you ask. Far from five stars! Avoid by all means!!! Dear owner, it is a pity that you use the attack on the guests to defend your shortcomings and dysfunctional system. Unfortunately, you did not respond to any of my objections in a friendly manner and you did not do anything to fix the argued shortcomings and make my stay more pleasant. I was rude when, for the third time in the afternoon at 5:00 p.m., after arriving from the beach, the room was not cleaned and even the towels were not changed. The guy who appeared at the door coldly replied that he was not responsible. Should I have bought him a coffee? And with that reaction of mine, you justify all the shortcomings that I drew attention to, and many more, that all guests see. You will probably get more comments like this, because most of the people I talked to think they were scammed, that they didn't get 5 star service, and that you are nowhere near the quality you are selling. I wish you a successful season, and to keep guests for the next one!

Our stay at ACROTEL Athena Pallas was largely wonderful, set within a beautifully maintained and thoughtfully arranged resort. All the facilities provided were excellent, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable experience. What truly stood out was the exceptionally polite and genuinely helpful staff, who were always eager to assist with any request. However, the one significant area for improvement, and quite a disappointing one, was the food offered within the half-board option. Unfortunately, it consistently fell below expectations and, frankly, was not in line with what one would anticipate from a 5-star hotel. The dishes were often repetitive, lacked variety, and on some days, were surprisingly bland. This was a real shame given the overall quality of the hotel. On a very positive note, we highly recommend trying the Lemoni tavern within the hotel grounds. We had lunch there twice, and it was a completely different story – the food was extremely good, offering the authentic and delicious Greek flavors we had hoped for. It truly delivered the kind of culinary experience one expects from a high-quality Greek meal. Overall, ACROTEL Athena Pallas offers a fantastic setting and service, but prospective guests should manage their expectations regarding the main buffet dining experience, or consider dining at Lemoni for a truly satisfying meal.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel ! The hotel is located in a nice green area with lots of charming areas but… The standard Double rooms are of good size and with a lovely balcony, but clearly needs revamping and refreshing as all the equipments and decoration looks very old. In one of our rooms, we had water leaking in the bathrooms for several days, removing the wall’s paint…but it was never cared by the hotel. Several restaurants are available but only Doxato is accessible for half-board and others are at much higher price with a 20% discount only for dinners. Meals are never served at the same time to all the persons: expect to have at least 30 mins between each dish being served; they do not care to serve all dishes for all clients (at same table), at the same time. Coffee is very bad quality, not a real espresso; no fresh fruit juice but only industrial quality juice, dishes at the Doxato are repeated if you’re staying over 5 days, but with good diversity of dishes: more like a canteen than a 5 star restaurant. We asked to have a table reserved for our groups of 9 persons as we had dinner at the same time everyday, but this was done only once: service quality is very variable. Gym available with very old equipments…walls not clean and very noisy music being played. At the same level of the Gym, there is a Spa and a Game Center: we did not dare use the Spa…but the Game Center closes at an early 10 pm, same time as the main restaurant. Game Center hosts 2 pool tables, few video games, one flipper and two very weird babyfoot and a air hockey, plus a mini bowling on 2 tracks (for kids). External sport facilities were disappointing (with additional charge/fees): one very old tennis playground, one very small mini-foot, one table tennis and 3 mini-golfs. We are not allowed to use any of the facilities of the Residence area, just nearby, a pity. Guest Relation Desk was not helpful when being asked to design us a transport to see the south part of Halkidiki: he proposed to call 3 taxis charging 200Euros! He could not figure out if it was possible to arrange the minibus of the Hotel itself for a reasonable fee. Of course there is a daily shuttle that drops to Nikita and Marmara, but charged 10 euros per person for return fare: interestingly, we found that the hotel clients are charged 10 euros to use a shuttle for hotel’s employees! (Never seen that in a 5 star hotel). Comparatively other hotels rather offer a free shuttle to the nearby town. We have used the main pool, very pleasant facility with lots of deckchairs around it ; the two pool showers do not work well as full of limestone ! Nearby, we enjoyed the pool bar, with very friendly waiters and a very nice Saxophone evening but beware of the frequent mosquito bites all day long. In case of rainy weather, everybody gets packed in a very small inside bar area, that is clearly too small. The Beach is a small strip with very rocky sand, quickly full with no free deckchairs. Beware, the road to access the beach is via a small tunnel, that is never cleaned, with smelly odours and leaking water inside it. Hopefully just 10 mins walk on the right, the beach of Hotel Lily Ann is much more user friendly, with lots of free deckchairs, and a very enjoyable beach restaurant. Despite the above, we feel that the infrastructure is a very promising one, but has been badly maintained over time. At the end of our stay, we asked to keep our rooms just for 3 hours behind the Noon deadline (as our flight is at 8 pm), but this was refused and greeted with a « this requires a additional charge of 60 euros, but we cannot tell you right now if it is possible, only the day of departure that we can tell you…may be » ! This last sentence clearly summarise the very average service quality we have received in this hotel… Clearly not a 5 star, and regretfully, we will not come back here and will not recommend this place, given the series of very bad service quality we had, impacting out global experience on the...

We spent five days here recently for a quick break and wedding. From the minute we entered, the reception manager Despina greeted us with a broad smile and made us feel welcome there and then. We were offered a 'welcome' refreshment too. The hotel complex is very large. The grounds are maintained to impeccable standards. The room was SPOTLESSLY CLEAN and had air conditioning which you can adjust. The bathroom was to die for and the spare wash basin/wc room was an immensely handy amenity, specially as we prepared to attend the wedding. EVERYBODY from the cleaners up to management was incredibly polite and you received a smile and 'yeia sas !' from everyone every morning. They simply could not do enough for us. The 'Lemoni' restaurant was managed by Yianni and Tariel - the pair of them absolute gentlemen - Tariel should have his own chat show on TV - he is a star ! Full of life, welcoming, polite - professional and well presented. THE FOOD - FIRST CLASS - QUALITY AND QUANTITY. GREEK SALAD ! NOT just a plate full of 'prasinada' - greenery for rabbits like most restaurants here in the UK serve - this is a PROPER salad with tomatoes TO DIE FOR ! Greek tomatoes that you can smell half a mile away to open your appetite AND TASTE DIVINE !

The younger members of staff who mixed duties between pool bar, breakfast and the restaurants were genuine diamonds - they ran around ensuring your every need was met. Young Anastasia was there for us every day with a beaming smile and 'Yeia sas !' to ensure we had what we needed. The little mini market there was well handy. A charming Greek lady called 'Chrisa' greeted us most mornings - she was a delight - a beaming smile polite and helpful. There was another lady there when Chrisa was not on duty (wasn't Greek) - sadly I have to say she was the exact antithesis of Chrisa : she could be abrupt, impatient and verging on the disrespectful to customers. She was the only blip at this hotel so we just timed it and avoided her. Everything else was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. The breakfast was TO DIE FOR - THEY HAD EVERYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE !! God bless everyone at this hotel - they are diamonds all of them. Stunning scenery - spotless pool - we will be going back soon I pray. Tariel - YOU ARE A TRUE GENTLEMAN - God bless you for your impeccable service - Manager Yianni - another first class professional gentleman ; chef Yianni - what a character ! Excellent chef - knows it all - delicious food. Young Anastasia - full of life - keep smiling - keep dancing ! I thoroughly recommend this hotel. Greece should be very proud of this place. In these difficult times, this hotel serves as a beacon of hope, peace, health and relaxation. Thoroughly recommended. God...

The hotel has great location, views, rooms, food and staff apart from two girls who work in the spa both of which have dark hair one has glasses the other has curly hair.

I had a massage booked day after I visited spa with my boyfriend. Before spa I put three necklaces in my handbag pocket which I took with me to the massage room day after. When I was in the massage room was the only time I had my handbag out of sight. Morning after the massage one necklace was as missing which was the only real gold one out of the three. The other two were still in place in the pocket of my handbag where I left them all when at the spa. When I went to ask about the missing necklace the curly hair girl did not show any sign of surprise and she went looking for it for about 30 seconds. I began to be suspicious and remembered what had happened at the time is the massage:

  1. The curly hair girl instructed me to put my handbag on the chair by the door prior to massaging me.
  2. during the massage she stopped twice for 40-60 seconds without making any usual sound like for example getting an oil, moving the towel or turning the music up etc.
  3. First time she stopped I did not hear a sound, second time I heard something confusing at the time but afterwards I realised it was the glass door to the massage room.
  4. the girls with glasses was at the reception at the time and there were no other guests in the whole area.

All of the above are the reason I am writing this review to warn others guest of the two girls. I reported the whole thing to the management who were really helpful. Police were involved however for logistical reasons I decided not to not file the official report.

** edit in reply to the hotel’s response.

I am not inclined to accuse and am aware of the fact that the police investigation did not happen as the requirement for this to be instigated was for me and my boyfriend to stay in Greece for the duration which was not possible. That is why I am describing my memories for the review readers to make their own mind up. Just to clarify - I did bring the problem to hotel management’s attention while being a guest. I cannot place judgement whether or not anything like this has ever happened in the hotel before and it is not my place to say but I do know what happened to me in spa when I stayed there. Of course I did not catch anybody redhanded but my memories paint a picture which can be a warning for other guests. The other thing that makes this painful for me is the fact that the necklace was of a great sentimental value. I do not wish for this to...
