Porto Koufo Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Sithonia

We booked, for the second time, our vacation at this hotel. The location is just wonderful, it has a small, quiet, private beach with a unique panorama over the natural bay. This year, when we arrived, the electrical power was off in the region, but that was not a problem for the PK Hotel, since they have a big working power generator, so everything was ok. That is a great plus. The breakfast was mostly the same, as two years ago. An avarage breakfast, .ore than enough for the morning. Unfortunately, in the last day, we had a very unpleasant short episode with the girl from the reception, when we checked out at 12.00, and not 11.00. It is very possible that one of her colleagues could have told us, when we arrived, that check-out is at 11.00, but we might have forgetten that details, since we were after over 12 hours driving... More, on the holster of the key-card, it is printed that check-out is at 12.00 So, they could change or write over that, with a pen... Her attitude and tone were not apropriate for such a situation, and definetly, for a hotel staff with such good rating. She tried to be very bossy, not letting us finish the sentences, with a loud high pitch voice. Just what we didn't need on our last day, before leaving. However, we hope she will get a proper training, and change her attitude. She evan insisted on finding out wich colleague of her was at the frontdesk, when we checked-in... Let's be honest, one hour over is not such a late check-out. Fortunately, a dolphin decided to visit the bay in front of the hotel and that really cheered us up. The rest of the staff was very friendly, and very hard working, especially the guys from the beach bar. We will most likely return here, since the hotel is a veritable hidden gem for those who love a quiet and not so crowded place. Also, the costs were...

I had reservation at this hotel for 8 nights which I did three months ago. Me and my family drive to the greece border with car and greece government did not allowed us to cross the border due to covid restrictions eventhough we had the applied visa (given the same week) and passenger locator form with QR code (taken at last 24 hours) and negative PCR again taken in last 24 hours. I directly contact with the hotel and told the situation but they did not paid our half of the money back. I have no fault on this and since the hotel obviosly consist of a very insensitive and inconsiderable people that nobody understood our situation. I dont know how many times i tried to tell them that this is directly related with greece border decision, hotel people just did not listen at all. I also offered to keeping our right until september incase we could revisit, they did not accept again. They just withhold our money for no reason. Please consider you could be in the same situation before you visit...
