Absolute oasis with unbeatable views, nestled in the perfect part of the Caldera:

There are really no words to describe our stay at Ftelari. It was continually surreal to walk onto the terrace of this stunning private home and take in the miraculous view of the Caldera. This is an oasis unlike any other property on Santorini. The home is unique, beautiful, spacious and cozy, the amenities and care exceptional, and the property sits at the perfect vantage point on the island to truly have an unmatched view with complete privacy. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Petros is the caretaker and he truly ‘takes care’ in everything he does, from preparing delicious breakfasts to making our 3 ½ year old feel truly at home. I planned this family trip to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and when I say Petros helped make that day and our entire stay better than we could have ever expected - I mean it. He was available to give advice on what to do each day based on weather and to avoid crowds, he made fantastic outing and restaurant reservations, all with zero stress. He is an incredibly special person who brings the soul of Santorini to this home and those who stay there, with everything he does.

Coming home after a day of exploring the island was relaxing for body and spirit, with the terrace pool, hot tub, and extended outdoor space. At night, watching the lights of Fira and Oía shimmer along the distant rims was magical.

It is off the walking path between the towns, so sometimes you'll get a few stragglers from the trail, and hear the donkeys, but it's otherwise very private and secure. The views are stunning, and the property gets sun all day, ending in breathtaking sunset views. The bedrooms are a good size and the bathrooms lovely. The kitchen is also well appointed and the wine refrigerator was a lovely touch.

Pool, and hot tub are immaculate and the outdoor kitchen area is really nice to hang in if the other parts of the outdoor areas are windy.

Petros was incredible in providing a welcoming and comfortable environment. We enjoyed the daily breakfasts, coffee and pastries prepared by him. He's a wonderful wealth of recommendations, and helping set up reservations, taxis and excursions.

We really had a calm and restful stay at this wonderful home. I hope to come back and pass some more time...
