We stayed in Suite 5 for 4 nights for the last part of our holiday and it was beautiful. I picked this room specifically when booking as it looked to have the best views and a more sheltered hot tub although all of the other rooms looked amazing from what we could see. The room was very spacious, bright, cool and decorated modernly. Our suite was 2 bedroom with one double bed on the first floor and one double bed up some small stairs into a sort of loft/cave like type room which was very cute. Both beds were very comfy. Very nice and spacious shower within the room itself. There were some kitchen facilities in the room including a fridge with items to buy from the mini bar at reasonable prices which was handy when not near a shop and this was re-stocked whenever requested. Also a Nespresso coffee machine (be aware that all water is salt water so is not drinkable at all so worth stocking up on bottled water for things like the coffee machine/kettle). There was a small living area with a tv, sofa and table. Inside on the first floor there was a day bed next to some small bi-folding doors which opened out into an incredible hot tub with a great view of the sun set and island. The outside terrace was down a flight of stairs and had everything we needed. Seating area with a table for our delicious morning breakfast which was served at a time requested by us each morning. The breakfast was different each day which was great. The pool was a perfect size for the two of us and although quite cold it was great to cool down in. There were two lounge beds, one under a pergola type thing (although not much shade once the sun comes around) and one in the open right in the pool with a beautiful view out onto the sea. We ordered room service a few times and although it wasn’t top restaurant quality it was still good for what we wanted. The staff were attentive and very helpful with the receptionist taking us through local recommendations at check in and answering any questions we had. Although we were aware this place was further out from other places, be prepared that your nearest mini/super-market is in Akrotiri centre which is around a 10 min drive (20€ in a taxi) / 55 min walk. So would recommend either stocking up on your way here with what you will need or renting a car/quad. It is the same with the bus stop as this is also in Akrotiri centre so will require a taxi/car. A taxi to Fira is around 40€ in a taxi and 2€ on a bus. It was very windy during our stay so keep all your belongings pinned down and indoors during the night or they will be gone by morning! It was an amazing, chilled and luxurious stay here and...

Read moreStop looking at other hotels and stay here! We absolutely LOVED our four day stay! The rooms were fantastic. We had a refrigerator, microwave, mini-bar, large shower, comfortable bed, desk, and lounge/living room area. The things in the room barely matter because you'll spend most of your time outside. Our private pool and jacuzzi were stunning. We had reservations at multiple locations and missed several of them because we stayed in the pool/jacuzzi and ordered room service. The room service is excellent! Breakfast is plentiful and the presentation is beautiful. We also ate a few delicious lunches there as well so take advantage of that room service!
In regard to location, it is FAR from everything. We read the other reviews about the isolated location, looked at Google Maps, heeded the warnings, and opted to rent a car from the airport. We were able to drive around the island, see various areas, and have autonomy over our schedule. The tourist areas (Oia and Fira) were so jam packed with people that I honestly felt overwhelmed when visiting those parts of the island. If you're looking for a place to stumble back to after barhopping, this is not your hotel. However, if you are looking for a quiet place to unwind and completely relax , this is your spot!
A few things we did while there: in-room massages, Petra Kouzina Cooking Class, wine tasting, several delicious restaurants, and sunset at the lighthouse near the hotel.
The suites are beautiful and the staff is amazing. Get a rental car and enjoy your time at Potnia Theron Suites. I promise you will not be...
