Spent 8 nights overall in a Deluxe suite, which comprised large combined living room and kitchenette in one corner, with large terrace. There were three apartments in all in this block, and ours was the middle one. The bedroom had a large very comfortable bed, with air conditioning. The bedroom window was fitted with an insect mesh, which meant the windows could be opened without allowing insects in. However the two doors from the living room to the terrace had no such protection, and a notice stated that windows and doors should be kept closed at all times. We found that there were lots of mosquitos around, and, even though anti-mosquito plug in was provided, it was not very effective. So an anti-mosquito spray is a necessity. The bathroom was clean, although the hot water functioning was not brilliant; it required the relevant hot water fuse to be switched on 15 mns prior to taking a shower, and turned off before using the shower. Sometimes the water was lovely and hot, sometimes not. Basic toiletries and an efficient hairdryer were provided. The apartment was cleaned daily, and sheets and towels were replaced regularly. Beach towels were also provided, and changed on request. The housekeeper was very helpful and even went out to buy milk for us when we asked her if she had any. The owner of the apartments came by to check that we were settling in and was pleasant and helpful. The furniture was comfortable, but not deluxe; the covers on the sofa needed refreshing; we compared our suite with the VIP residence next to us, and the furnishings there were better quality and the sofas looked fresher and newer. ||The location of the apartments is between the villages of Kardamyli and Stoupa, Kardamyli being the nearest. It is on the main road between these two villages, between two fairly sharp bends. There are no shops within walking distance, and the beach that is within walking distance is a pebbly beach which is not very relaxing. No sunbeds or facilities on that beach either. However there are two stunning sandy beaches (Kallogria and Stoupa) within a short car drive, each with facilities to use sunbeds of varying degrees of comfort, in exchange for buying a drink from the relevant bar. ||The huge appeal of this apartment for us was the view and the peace and tranquility; we chose to spend most evenings on the terrace listening to the water lapping all around us, as the apartment is on a headland, and watching the sun go down in a ball of fire. The daily cleaning was a further attraction for us, as it is rare to find this service on a self-catering basis, although I do note that now in Greece more and more new apartment blocks are offering this service.||There are three or four supermarkets within a five to seven minute drive; the largest of these, Katerina's Supermarket, near Stoupa, is definitely superior. Be prepared for sheep's heads on the butcher's counter..||So, as long as you have a car, and accept the necessity to go everywhere by car, then you can have a very...

Would suggest replacing the wicker chairs at the kitchen table as they are not comfortable to sit on because the wood seat is now spiky. Yiota is lovely and welcoming and she waited for us to arrive, which was close to 6pm when we checked in. We only stayed 2 nights but I could see it being a nice place for longer stays.
The kitchen is stocked somewhat for meals, but just a stove top and fridge, no oven or microwave for reheating. We loved sitting out on our terrace reading a book and watching the sun go down while listening to the waves. Very relaxing, and the bed was comfortable to me, but it's a spring bed and my husband prefers firmer mattresses. The room has an air-conditioning unit on the far side near the TV so it gently cooled the room while we slept and was easy to operate. I do wish that the shower screen stretched far enough so that the shower became fully enclosed, but these Greek hotels commonly leave a gap which makes the floor near the shower wet. If you could extend the track and add another glass panel then I think that would be better.
There were some complimentary snacks and water bottles in the room, and we were also given beach towels when we asked for them on the second day, to use at the beach instead of our room towels. I think beach towels should be put in the room to begin with as a courtesy, because the first day we needed to use our bath towels at the beach since Yiota had left for the day. Reception is not 24 hr like a hotel but there is daily maid service around 11am-12pm.
Overall I would say our stay was lovely and relaxing and it felt more like a home than a hotel, which was a nice change from the bigger hotels we've been at on this trip. The restaurants in Kardamyli and Stoupa were nice, and very close to drive to. Would return to stay again if we come back...
Read moreReserved a maisonette room with sea view. The apartments are pretentiously named "exclusive living" and are on a cliff face 7 minutes drive to Kardamilli. No breakfast provided, and no restaurants in walking distance. The room was very small - lounge, dining area and kitchenette all squashed together. There was nowhere to unload our 2 suitcases, so had to open them on small banquette, which meant there was nowhere to sit except a kitchen chair. The size of the tv was the smallest I have ever seen, which says a lot about the dimensions of the downstairs room. The bedroom was situated up a steep spiral staircase ( difficult if you want to go to the downstairs bathroom during the night). To get to the outdoor balcony, you had to open 3 doors - all steel and glass - all with different methods of opening and closing. Insane. The downstairs kitchen has blinds on the window, but there is only a semi transparent curtain on the window of the upstairs bedroom. I had to drape something over the window to prevent the outside lights disturbing my sleep. There is no onsite customer service - at least when I went twice to the office for help in opening one of the 3 doors to the balcony, no-one was there. Unsure about whether a restaurant was open in Kardamilli, I phoned the office number and asked if they could phone and find out. Although they agreed, but never rang back. So much for customer service. I could go on.... but suffice to say, I do not...
