Omiros Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Western Lesvos

First, I must note that I stayed at another hotel in Vatera and only visited the Omiros for drinks and to enjoy their sea view. Therefore, I can't give a higher score. But I can say that the hotel looked very clean and the owners are very hospitable. Eleni was very friendly and tried her best to chat with me - her English was non-existent, which matched my level of Greek. :) She wrote out prices for the rooms, which were very reasonable. Prices for drinks are very low and you might luck out if Eleni offers you some fresh pears out of her garden. Very tasty. The location of the hotel is in a quiet spot on the beach (where the water is so clear and blue) so, if you're looking for a relaxing, calm, unassuming and welcoming place to stay in Vatera, consider the Omiros. Oh and don't let the news about refugees put you off. While there, we saw no signs of refugees in Vatera or any of the towns on the island that we visited by car. (And you'll want to rent one for a few days to enjoy the beauty of the island of Mytellini...

I was in a predicament with no lodging and these two most wonderful people were my salvation. They are most friendly and they treated me like family from the moment I walked in the door. The service is excellent. The food is superb - every meals was wonderful The place is immaculate. The price is fantastic. The public areas are the same - very stylish and warm I will go back. I feel like I have known these people my whole life. It is easy to see they are very proud of their place and should be...

By far the worst place to stay. I just wanted to burn the place down. It's not just bad. It's unhealthy. Air conditioning unit was not serviced, the toilet wasn't clean, the carpets was rotting. I never ever felt so disgusted. They didn't even bother to put a new toilet paper. It was half and dirty. PS. We booked 4 rooms. I am still trying to figure out which one...
