Glyfa Village — Hotel in Paros Municipality

Glyfa Village is one of a kind. Located in a super quiet area with a lovely view. The appartements are super comfy and clean. Sitting on the terrace watching the sea was super relaxing and a pleasure. The quiet beach is a few steps away. We were welcomed warmly and everybody was super friendly. It was super that we could rent a car there. And we were picked up and brought back to the port. We got all the important information and great recommendations for food and what to see. The breakfast service was exceptional. A quick call in the morning and the breakfast was served on our own terrace. Nothing was missing (eggs, bread, pitas, vegetables, fruits, super yummy yoghurt, sweets, orange juice, honey, local tasty marmelades, ...). I loved the ecological aspects with the reusable bottles for milk and juice, so we could keep the milk we didn't used for the next day in our fridge. Plus I always appreciate when locals products are used. There is surely more to say. But the most important is that I enjoyed my stay a lot and that Glyfa Village is one of few accommodations that will stay in my memory and I hope to come back one day. Highly recommended. Unfortunately our experience in Glyfa Village was not pleasant.||We stayed 10 days, and on the 7th day my daughter saw a mouse in the kitchen.||We informed the owners, they came and they checked, but they did not find it.||||They started asking my daughter (8 yrs) whether she is sure she saw the mouse, and in the end of the day they said that even if it was there, now it is gone.||||The very same night, I heard strange noises from the kitchen cupboard, and it was obvious that the mouse was still there, trapped. At around 22:30 I call the owner, no reply. I leave a message, but no reply at all. ||||In the end of the day I had to sleep (actually we did not sleep at all....) with my whole family in the apartment, knowing that the mouse was inside the cupboard!||||The next day, I inform the owners, and they removed the mouse, after dismantling the cupboard.||However, they said nothing, nothing to say regarding the fact that we did not sleep at all the previous night....||||I am very sorry, but this was the worst customer service I had in my whole life....||||The only good thing about this hotel is the view, the customer service is totally...

Ich kann mich in meiner Rezension nur den begeisterten "Vormietern" anschließen. Glyfa Village ist wirklich eine hervorragende Unterkunft für einen entspannten Urlaub.

Marius (ich hoffe, ich erinnere mich richtig an den Namen) hat uns überaus freundlich vom Flughafen abgeholt und am letzten Tag auch wieder dorthin gebracht. Außerdem servierte er uns jeden Morgen das exzellente Frühstück auf unserer privaten Terrasse. So starteten wir jeden Tag mit einem privaten Frühstück bei bestem Meerblick - wirklich traumhaft. Auch gab es von ihm auf einem Übersichtszettel ein paar Restaurant- und Ausflugtipps. Wirklich jede der Empfehlungen war hervorragend. Besonders das Restaurant Anna's in Dryos haben wir gerne besucht, weil nicht nur der Service und das Essen hervorragend waren, sondern das Ganze auch nur wenige Fahrminuten von der Unterkunft entfernt war. Aber auch das Balcony in Aliki war mehrfach unser Ziel.

Die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt während wir uns die Insel angesehen oder am Strand entspannt haben. Dabei haben wir uns meist bewusst gegen die vielen bekannten Strände der Insel entschieden, sondern stattdessen den Strand, der nur 2 Minuten von den Appartements entfernt liegt, aufgesucht. Hier waren immer nur 0-5 weitere Paare und keine Kinder, das Wasser war klar und je nach Tageszeit gab es dank der Bäume auch immer wieder gute Schattenplätze zum Liegen. Dass man den Strand zu Fuß erreichen und jederzeit die eigene Toilette aufsuchen oder etwas Vergessenes holen konnte, trug zum Entspannungsfaktor bei.

In unserem Appartement selbst hatten wir im großen Raum eine kleine Küchenzeile mit zwei Herdplatten, Kühlschrank und Kaffeemaschine, eine Sitzgruppe sowie ein Sofa (bzw. 3. Bett) mit Fernseher (nie gebraucht). Das Bad war eher klein, aber vollkommen ausreichend. Außerdem schien es relativ neu renoviert worden zu sein und war "moderner" als auf den Bildern der Homepage. Im Schlafzimmer hatten wir ein großes, bequemes Bett, einen Kleiderschrank sowie einen Schminktisch :) Wir hatten glücklicherweise eine der Appartements mit Whirlpool erwischt und konnten den ein oder anderen Abend bei Sternenhimmel im Whirlpool genießen, außerdem gab es auf der Terrasse eine Sitzgruppe, zwei Liegen und eine Aufhängung für nasse Badesachen. Insgesamt liegt das ganze Gelände sehr ruhig und außerhalb einer Ortschaft, es gibt nur ein paar einzelne Häuschen außenrum. Für den Urlaub benötigt man somit auf jeden Fall einen Mietwagen, den man aber direkt über Glyfa Village mieten kann.

Ich bin wirklich absolut zufrieden mit der Unterkunft, würde sie zu 100% weiterempfehlen und werde auch auf jeden Fall noch einmal dort...
