Golden Beach Hotel — Hotel in Polygyros Municipality

The worst place I have ever been! Everything is falling a part. There is plenty of mould and other weird stuff growing up on the walls. The best part of the flat that we got given is the bathroom. U can hardly flush the toilet. I have asked member of staff to come and have a look at it. It was impossible to explain to the guy what the problem is because of language barrier. There is hardly any member of staff that speaks English. The guy looked at it saw the problem and said " OK no problem" when we come back of the beach the job wasn't done. The shower is completely diffrent story it kinda works every our and then. Low water pressure at any given time. It was little big adventure to sort out my wife's and my girls hair. And the shower tap was connected wrong way araund Hot was Cold and Cold was Hot. The water was constantly changing from cold to hot. Simply amazing! What else do u need! It was even better in our friends room. Whan they moved in the air conditioning didn't work at all. Member of staff went to the room put air con on somehow and the best part of it was that they couldn't be switched off. Another great job! In another room where are staying some friend the toilet stunk like compost yard. Let's not forget to mention the food! Terrible! That describes it whit one word! Same meals every day for brake fast. Not even a single piece of fruit! Lunch for seven days we hardly got somthing different. Not even a single piece of fruit again! Dinner time was the best. All the hotel guest were aloud just one barrel of lager "beer" ofcourse the cheapest Greek product that they could find on the market. The only spirit drink that they were offering was Ouzo. Only god knows where that was made but it was getting poured ot of 5 litter plastic tube in the kitchen. There were some red and white wine. I wasn't brave enough to try em out. Ofcourse there were strict opening ours an everything. Food and drinks were served strictly from time to time. The swimming poll had his own opening ours. If u fancy a coffee or tee after 17:00 u got no chance. Or any snack between the main meals same again. The hotel has got his own beach. The state of it was terrible again! Probably because of the floodings that there were at chalkidiki. There was a beach bar proudly named after the hotel. Of course it wasn't part of the all Inclusive deal.Which didn't really bother us. We chose to travel 5 miles or more every day just to explore the place better. Everywhere else was brilliant. I have had great experience going diving whit my snorkeling kit. Beautiful beaches cristal clear water! But not near Golden beach hotel. I will highly recommend to stay away from that place. U will get more for what u pay elsewhere! Although the facility was in line with the expectations, it lacked the hospitality Greece is well known for. It is reasonable for a hotel to have rules guests should obey, but when these are communicated by untrained staff, it gives a very bad aftersound. This did not happen to my family, but we witnessed this daily.||Let me stress that the rooms were cleaned daily, with clean towels and bed sheets every third day, so kudos for that. The food could have been a little more diverse, with more fish and seafood, but it was OK (just OK). The all-inclusive bar was a self-service area with a draught beer tap, soda (lemon, lime, cola) and freshwater machine, coffee machine, with the addition of ouzo and wine during lunch and dinner. I was here 4 years ago and my grade for than is 5/5, but now 2/5, everything is changed. Food if horor, everything is old and stinky and we are here with kids so I can’t give tham to eat anything from here. Eggs are old boiled few days before, cucumber and tomato are also old and made a day before so they left tham to stay all day with fly and another insects on it. Rice is horrible, potato not cooked well, peas is kind of weird, nothing with normal flavour. Salami are old with some dark colours on the borders, very suspicious for trying. Beach is so stinky, it is not cleaned, box for garbage is full and no one is cleaning tham. Beach bar and beach seats now are not included in price for all inclusive from hotel.
