Room is a STUDIO not an apartment. TV is from the 1980s, tiny, and did not work. Kitchen did not even have a kettle or frying pan. No change of bedding in six days. Towels stunk. Electric failed one night. Shower is solar powered and usually cold, plus floods the floor. The shower is technically the toilet floor. They tell you nothing - empty your bin into the small dustbin at the front. WiFi kept failing and was awful, used my own data mainly.||||There are no buses. Taxi from PVK airport thirty euro. Property is not as was booked "1.3KM FROM SHOP". It's 4.4KM, eight euro in a taxi. The four-nightly clean did not happen, towels stunk on the fifth night. The adjacent campsite's shop cannot be used. The beach 200m/yds away is quite small and not that clean.||||On foot? We did find a walkable restaurant 2km south, with great food. It's 20 mins nice walk along the well hidden unmarked farm track located to the right of Kalamitsi Camping, couple of barking dogs behind fences on the way. Pelagos restaurant is in Kalamitsi Town (well, it's the only thing in the town). Souvlaki or the traditional burger came to less than seven each - but the best bit? The amazing seating area. It's outside, quiet, covered and looks over the sea. We went every night.||||2.5km north is Mytikas, with some nice restaurants, and the lovely 10km-long Monolithi beach. You'll need google maps on your phone and be prepared for 5-10mins walking alongside the busy E18 road, or via the rocky rubbley beach.||||Save some money, twenty euro. Arriving at PVK airport, walk out the airport, cross the road, catch the not very regular Ktel bus (one euro sixty cents) through the tunnel to Preveza town then get a seven euro(ish) taxi from the bus station's taxi rank. As you are self catering, the Matsousis supermarket is opposite the bus station has all your needs. Taxi drivers who wait at the bus station are vital throughout your stay - get...
Read moreMy husband booked this hotel for a wedding we were going to near the area. I was not happy with this stay. The tv hardly worked. It was super old from the 80’s. The bathroom is so small. The toilet is literally in the shower. Not enough towels were given . The fridge was painted and felt sticky. No drinks or food on premise. The beach down the road was not that nice. The ac was good but weak and made noise. We left the ac opened while we were out and the lady came in and closed it. There shouldn’t be anyone going into the room when I’m not there. It’s super hot without the ac. The grounds were pretty. The balcony overlooking the grounds was peaceful . We were able to use the pool next door with a purchase. Next time I will look into staying at the Kalamitsi hotel next door. It looked much newer and cleaner. Never again will I stay here. One...
Read moreThe place is ok, it is a huge courtyard where you can have barbeque or just to stay outside with the family. The owner is nice and she brings you everything you need. The apartments are really small and if you are a family of 4 you will all sleep in the same room in 2 different beds which you cannot see in the pictures when you book. The kitchen is small but it has pans and pots and cutlery, fridge, and the air conditioning is really good. The only downside was that the apartment was so small and there were no 2 different rooms...
