This is a phenomenal villa, set in the most beautiful location overlooking the Ionian sea. The villa was impecably clean and well furnished. The facilities were exceptional, with a private infinity pool, indoor jacuzzi bath and gym equipment on the balcony. The rooms were well presented with modern fittings. When we arrived, there was a table of delicious local vegetables, Feta cheeses, Greek breads and olives for our arrival - it was exquisite. I really can't overemphasise how exceptional this villa is. Fiskardo was only a short drive away (10 minutes maximum). Here you can rent out boats and explore the many quiet beaches punctuated along the coasts of Kefalonia and Ithaka, or simply drop anchor and dive in for a snorkel along the steep limestone shelfs. There is an abundance of aquatic wildlife including Octopi and sea turtles. The villa is also situated close to a Bazzar for local food shopping - a very friendly and helpful family runs this shop. There are also restaurants dotted along the roads if you're looking for traditional Greek cusisine. More international-styled restaurants can be found in Fiskardo.
If you so book this villa, you need a car too. However, don't let that put you off. It was my first time driving on the right-hand side of the road but I was comfortable with it as soon as I left the airport. The roads aren't busy (actually mostly empty) and as soon as you hit the west coast, the views out into the Ionian and Mediterranean are breathtaking. We stopped several times on the way to take these stunning vistas in. There are also plenty of historical sites in close proximity - the Byzantine Basillica in Fiskardo, the Venetian Castle in Assos and a little further afield you can find the monastry of St. Gerasimos (...and dare to take the ladder into the depths of the cave wherein he lived while serving as a monk). Also, I implore you to visit the ancient city of Sami which is situated on the mountain due east of Sami. You should complement this with the incredibly well orchestrated and presented museum of the same place, which is situated in the Sami town center. It was a terrific experience.
Also, back at the villa, there was a local ginger and white cat which had clearly been "ruffed up" by another animal so we helped him out and fed him most days - sometimes we even cooked him some fresh food, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was clean, but clearly very poorly so if you see him please be friendly towards him - and say hi from us as we are still worrying about him :( A smaller, much younger white female cat would also pop into the yard to say hello. We fed them separately to ensure that the smaller cat would actually eat something. In any case, this was a fantastic holiday - the first trip abroad since COVID-19 and it really couldn't have been better. Spiros (the property manager) was incredibly helpful and attentive. If we needed advice on restaurants, beaches, taxis or anything else, he would reply to our WhatsApp almost instantly.

Overpriced and misleading
Spiros is a very good sales man who does know his product. He also tried hard to be helpful. We stayed in August for 4 nights in the villa. The view over the sea is beautiful but you should not look at the immediate surroundings full of rubbish. The outdoor area is very small and not maintained and badly designed with the floor made of dark brown tiles making the floor so hot that it is impossible to walk bare foot. Annoying when you get out of the pool
The description of the house is misleading: “5 minutes from the famous sailing traditional village of Fiskardo”: at best 18 minutes before parking. Check on google map.
“We strongly support local organic products “: we haven’t witnessed it at all neither in the kitchen nor bathrooms.
“we will make sure you learn and enjoy our local bread, cheese, olive oil, fruits and vegetables since some thrive only in this area and have some special aspects for your health.” ; we did get a basket of vegetables, no fruits, the promise of the natural retreat was not met.
“We have supplied the villa with organic body gels of great Greek flavors.”: only basic products were available.
“Hygiene and cleaning constitute one of the most important parts of your stay for us. We only use organic, environmental friendly and biodegradable products.”: this is not true, an acidic cleaner was available under the sink.
The kitchen was missing several basic tools and items such as a salad bowl or even a potato peeler. Spiros was both helpful and annoyed by our requests for such basic items.
The internet was not working most of the evenings rendering the in house internet tv inoperable.
We were surprised by how cold the pool water could be despite the warm air.
Finally the sun beds, tables and chairs were not up to the “high standard”, either broken or missing and not large enough for 5.
Based on my experience, the price, even if we got a discount, was not justified at all.
Interesting that I had to publish my review twice on TripAdvisor and each time it was published and then removed and that it is not possible to post pictures on TripAdvisor for this property. The property is now delisted from TripAdvisor. It does seem to me that everything is done to keep “alternative” reviews...
