Edited comment : (in reply to the manager’s comments) Not taking responsibility and blaming the guests is a clear sign of poor management ! We have a small kid and we know that we should not open the window without the mosquito screen ! Don’t take your guests as stupid people ! If I leave a comment it’s first of all for you to know and remedy the situation for future guests, not for you to fight back blaming a customer just so your ego is satisfied ! Be mindful of your guests and their experience in your hotel. Maybe the managers should sleep in that room before commenting !!! When we arrived in the room 104, we were all in movement so we didn’t see the mosquitos ! But at night we were attacked by so many ! My guess is that the cleaning staff has left the window open without the screen while performing cleaning. Anyways, you as the hotel manager should find your solutions. With this attitude of yours to blame and not recognise and not apologise we won’t come back again. Good luck
Initial comment : First of all, I should say the hotel is beautiful and authentic and the staff at the reception and the restaurant were very kind and helpful. The food at the restaurant and the hospitality were great. Now about our experience with the mosquitos ! We have never killed this many mosquitoes in a single night ! I am writing this comment at midnight and still trying to kill the last mosquitoes in our room number 104 on 15th September 2025 ! We were lucky that we had our electric racket with us so we were able to almost kill them all ! We must have killed at least 50 mosquitoes in the room ! The restaurant was filled with mosquitoes too ! With a small baby we can’t accept having this many mosquitoes in a single room ! The hotel must have treated the problem with a professional intervention and finding the root cause. We are amazed at the comments that nobody has complained about mosquitoes ! We saw traces of mosquitoes smashed on the walls so people before us must have suffered too ! I urge people who have had a similar experience to modify their comments so that people are informed before hand ! We wouldn’t have come if we knew the hotel is infested with mosquitoes...
Read moreWhat a fantastic treat to stay here for a few days. As part of a photography trip organised by a friend, we stayed here at the beginning of February, and took advantage of daily trips on the lake to photograph the beautiful Dalmatian Pelicans, organised by Giannis and Babis at the hotel. |The hotel is charming, in a beautiful village minutes from Lake Kerkini. The communal areas are cosy and warm, with huge open fires keeping the chill out, the bedrooms are spacious and impeccably clean, with fridge, large comfortable beds and decent hot showers. My room also had a balcony. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and very reasonably priced, and the breakfast also very good. |All the staff were great, very welcoming, helpful and always smiling! |The boat trips were fantastic, priced competitively, and provided plenty of opportunities to take photos of the beautiful pelicans on the lake, also finishing our trip with some shots of a kingfisher on the dock. There are plenty of other places locally for birdwatching, hiking and exploring, and the hotel staff are pleased to help. |I can highly recommend both the hotel and the boat trips, we enjoyed it so much we are thinking of...
Read moreWe booked a family room for 2 nights here. Quite, very nice and cosy hotel. You can park in front of the hotel or in the public parking which is aprox. 50m from the hotel ( there are plenty of parking places there). The room was clean with quality cosmetic products in the bathroom. Even in the 1st night we were the only visitors, the breakfast was so good and abundant that we could barely taste from each dish. Everything delicious. We also served lunch at the hotel restaurant - all we ordered came quickly and it was delicious at decent prices. Last but not least, the hotel employees were so nice and attentive to our needs, especially one of the girls that was on service during our stay. Always with a smile on her face, so kind and willing to make...
