This has to be the worst hotel I've ever been to. Even though we only spent a night here, I can most definitely say I have never stayed in a worse room. The appearance of the hotel from the outside was ok. But we weren't ready for what awaited us inside. The person at the reception was friendly and helpful. Even though we only stayed for a night, he was very detailed with giving us info about our room and breakfast. His English was very good in comparison to other places we have been to in the area. Unfortunately it didn't make up for the tiny and really run down room we stayed in. We were set up in a double bed room which we hardly were able to move around in. The bathroom was just as tiny. When sitting on the toilet the sink is basically in one's face. The shower has a flimsy shower curtain and the shower head is installed too high. Furthermore we found a wasp nest right in front of our window. An insect net is installed in the window, however judging by the condition of the room I was very convinced the net would be of any help. Positive aspects: fridge, hair dryer, free WiFi, TV and the breakfast. The breakfast definitely was the highlight of our stay. It was served on the 5th floor which could be reached via the elevator. But after a very scary experience the previous night we took the stairs. The elevator moves downwards as soon as one gets in and looked rather old and run down. Matching the rest of the hotel. The 5th floor is nothing in comparison to the rest of the hotel. The furniture is new and modern. The breakfast was served buffet style. One has a choice of break and toast, boiled eggs and tomatoes and cucumbers. The view from the top of the building was beautiful. This hotel is ok, if one only stays for a night. It's close to the airport and it was cheap which was why we chose to stay here. It's a bit away from the center of Perea. The surrounding area is quiet and...
Read moreI have just returned after a very pleasant 12 day stay at the Perea hotel. The check in was speedy and efficient, the breakfast times and arrangements along with the WiFi code were given and I was shown to my room. I had a room on the second floor with a sea view and I found it to be more than adequate for my needs. There is a balcony with a table and chairs and is a very nice place to sit looking towards the sea. There is a small fridge in the room, a hair dryer and amenity kits, as well as air conditioning. The breakfast is served buffet style on the third floor, where you can choose to eat inside or outside on the terrace. There is plenty of choice which alters most days along with fruit juices and tea and coffee. I found all the staff to be friendly, helpful and courteous. Any questions I had were answered straight away and they all have a wide knowledge of the area of places to see and things to do. There is a wide choice of good taverna's just a 5 minute walk away and the local shopping area a 10 minute walk. I would recommend the ferry trip to Thessaloniki which takes 50 minutes and the hotel has the timetable, and costs 3.50 Euro's each way. You will be met at reception by Pluto the dog and Marco the parrot and both are very friendly and love their role in meeting the guests! I was very pleased and so much so I am looking at...
