We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights as a group of families with children. The hotel is currently under renovation, so some rooms are modern and nicely designed, while others are still in the old style.||We booked 2 double rooms and 3 triple rooms directly by email, but upon arrival we were informed that the hotel only had double rooms available. The two options we were given were: to add an extra bed in the double rooms or to take our deposit back and find another place. As a large group with kids, changing accommodation last minute was not really possible, so we chose the extra bed option. This was a compromise, as the rooms are quite small and adding another bed left very little space. Initially, they wanted to charge us for triple rooms, although they were doubles with an extra bed, but in the end we managed to reach an agreement and they offered us the double room rate plus a 10% discount for the inconvenience. That solution was fair enough.||What was disappointing, however, was the cleaning service. Out of 8 nights, our rooms were cleaned only twice. We would leave in the morning for the beach, return around midday for the children’s nap, and then go out again in the afternoon – in total, the rooms were empty for 6–7 hours a day. Even so, the staff claimed they could not fit cleaning into their schedule.||Another unpleasant experience was on our last night. A young tall receptionist knocked very loudly on our door, visibly upset, and spoke to us in a very rude, almost aggressive manner, saying there had been a complaint that our 2.5-year-old child was crying too loudly. While we understand it can be disturbing, we believe this is not the right way to address customers – especially families with young children. This is not an adults-only hotel, and small kids sometimes cry; it’s part of the experience, and requires patience, not hostility.||Parking is also an issue: for a four-story hotel, there are only about 6 parking spaces available. Finding a spot on the street is extremely difficult, as the resort is very crowded.||On the positive side, the renovated rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hotel itself is clean, and the location is excellent – just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and many tavernas.||Overall, it was a mixed experience. With some improvements in management, cleaning service, and staff attitude, this hotel could be a great choice...
Read moreThe hotel is partly renovated – some rooms are modern and comfortable, others still old style. Our booking (2 double and 3 triple rooms) was not respected, and we had to compromise with extra beds in double rooms. In the end, the staff adjusted the price and gave a discount, which was fair.
The biggest disappointment was the attitude of one receptionist. On our last evening around 6 PM (not even quiet hours), he came to our door, knocked very aggressively, and spoke to us in a rude, almost hostile way because our 2.5-year-old child was crying. This behavior was unacceptable and unprofessional – children are part of family holidays, and a receptionist should show patience and respect, not aggression.
Cleaning was also below expectations (only twice in 8 nights), and parking is very limited. On the positive side, the renovated rooms are nice, and the location is excellent – only a few minutes’ walk to the beach and restaurants. With better staff training and service, the hotel could be a...
Read moreIt’s a cool place near the sea, boardwalk, taverns, bars, gelato etc lots to do walking 100% - clean rooms, it’s priced ok, I mean it’s not the 4 Seasons but if you want that, stay at the 4 Seasons. AC blows really cold … so if you want to feel some culture at the Sea I’d stay here again. The receptionist nipped me a verbal “tax fee” of 2 euros which is complete BS. 😂 I’m like what he said was so tragic it was beyond comical so I gave him the 2 euros that he put in his pocket. It was the classiest way to beg I have ever heard. It was a Tax Fee after I paid the bill he mentioned - no receipt. But he was cool and friendly You gotta watch everyone trying to pop a euro or 2 off you everywhere - the second they hear my US accent the vampire teeth come out, #target … so just be alert is all. Nothing to get in a huff about its a working vacation but still some people should hold some dignity and element of class to some degree...
