Unfortunately, I was not able to travel and enjoy this hotel. And this is exactly why I am giving it a five-star review. Read more below.
I had booked the stay at Karagianni Hotel with some friends, one of which had to attend an event there. Unfortunately, we were notified just a couple of days before that the event was not going to take place at Volos, so we needed to cancel our stay. Doing that via Booking would have costed us the entire amount of reservation, so we asked the hotel for waiving the cancellation fee. Being in contact with Dimitris was excellent as he took the relevant measures and made it possible for us to cancel without any fee, despite our last-minute short notice.
So, yes!! If a hotel has such an amazing customer service, offering to help you even without meeting you in person, even at the cost of cancellation (remember: we caused them a loss), I am pretty sure that even the experience at the premises would be splendid. All I can say is that we are grateful for their consideration and we really hope to visit Volos and stay at Karagianni...
Read moreWe stayed at this two storey hotel for two nights. Hotel itself is very clean. Rooms were serviced every day. Nice views from the balcony. There is also a common room. Staff so friendly, kind and helpful. In fact there is a lack of the lift in the hotel but soon after the owner Melisa's warm welcome at the reception desk it was recompensated by strong arms of Dimitri. So there was no trouble with dragging the luggage up or down the stairs. Buffet type of breakfasts and evening meals served @ 8pm. I would suggest to put cold drinks together with hot ones away from food buffet, on the other side of the dining room to reduce queueing. We were with the group of 40+ people. But probably for less guests there is not such a problem. So close to the beach, bars, even market shop. I would recommend. Thank you for...
Read moreWe’ve been coming to Hotel Karagiani every year for the past five years, and it truly feels like a second home. The hospitality is unmatched, Dimitri and Asimenia are incredibly kind and always make us feel welcome. The breakfast is a highlight: homemade, fresh, and full of Greek spirit, thanks to Asimenias personal touch.
The location is perfect. You’re just a short drive from Volos, so you have access to a vibrant city, but at the same time, the hotel is tucked away in a peaceful area, giving you the best of both worlds. There’s plenty to do nearby, whether you want to relax or explore. Everything about this place feels authentic and local, which is why we keep coming back.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, peaceful, and truly...
