Very poor service! We had made a reservation 1 and half month prior to our stay and we've asked for a double room with double bed (cause we are a couple). A lady took the note and 4 days before arrival we called for a confirmation, if everything is as planned. They assured us it is! When we arrived this afternoon for check-in the hotel receptionist said that we hadn't had a reservation for double room but tripple (!!!) and there are two beds united as one, but still not a double. He further pointed out rudly that they only have 3 rooms with double beds and they are all occupied and there is no need to further discuss because they are no room left. Quite shocked from his unprofessionalism, I called the person I have made the reservation (as I later found out it was his brother and wife who I had the reservation 1 1/2 month ago) and he remembered that I had requested for a double room with double bed and that he is sorry but there arent't any room available at the moment and since we've settled in the room they offered us (plus, he was trying to point out that the room he gave us was executive) we should be pleased.
Sorry that I am not pleased with the total lack of professionalism by this so called 4 star hotel. Of course, there is no problem for us sleeping in separated single beds but since we've made a reservation for double, that request should have been executed and not diminished by the staff.
On top of that, we had received no information regarding the breakfast hours or the wifi or any other useful information that we might have needed as travellers. Total indifference from their part!
Pitty, because as a hotel it's nice with a rococco aesthetic but the personnel...
Read moreThis wonderful family run hotel is just a few seconds away from the sea front at Nea Anchialos, with many its many fish tavernas, coffee and beach bars and a small boating marina on one side of the road. On the other side, there are ancient ruins to explore, dating back to Jason and the Argonaughts, which you can see go underneath the town, together with a pretty square, fountains and a church and some more coffee shops, bars and tavernas. There are also shops, supermarkets and gift shops in the surrounding streets and a large street market on a Tuesday. The room was clean, beds very comfortable, with TV and radio/CD player, small fridge and balcony. The breakfast was buffet style, on the outside terrace, with plenty of choices. If required, the hotel also provides evening meals. At the time of our visit, we were invited along to a traditional Greek night. This was the best we have ever been to, with dancers, singing and lots of paper-throwing! We’ll be back to see our new-made friends...
Read moreEven 1 star is too much for this hotel.. The personnel is very rude, especially one of the owners who was at the reception and was ironic mocking our complaints of very poor service. Specifically, the hygiene is very poor since the room was dirty, full of ants, hair on the floor and the bed. The worst part was an insect I found in a slice of bread in the breakfast. Moreover, me and my wife had requested a double bed more than a month ago and when we arrived we got two single beds and they mocked us saying that "its ok you will be fine, since you are settled why bother". The room did not even have a bottle of water or a glass. So be careful of their misleading photos the reality is...
