Hera Zakynthos Hotel — Hotel in Zakynthos Municipality

I never normally write reviews but do always ready them before I travel anywhere.|Me and my husband stayed here for a week in Aug 2025.|The apartments are ran by a lovely Greek family.|The rooms are clean and spacious. They are very basic but you have all you need. Shower is a tad challenging as it was really small but your literally in & out so it was fine. The pool and pool bar is kept lovely and clean and there is always plenty of sunbeds available at any time of the day. I had read previous reviews about prices being reasonable & although I agree with this on the food/ snacks I did find the drinks fairly expensive. Prices for drinks always changed also and the spirts felt watered down. I would 100% recommend the Caesar Salad. |The apartments are a good 30-40 minute walk from all the bars & restaurants. I had also read that there are a few little bars on the way down but we failed to see any at all so the walk felt tedious & boring. I would be ideal to have some bars to stop at on the way. Taxis back at night anything from 10-15 euros.|There is 2 supermarkets a couple of minutes walk from the apartments which we used to purchase water. There was no cleaning cloths provided which would have been handy. The cleaner did come in everyday during our stay and the beds was re made, towels replaced and bins emptied for us.|The aircon was 10 euros a night which I did feel was slightly on the expensive side also. You had no choice to pay for this as the heat was on occasions unbearable.|In reception there was books that other holiday makers had left & you was able to help yourself to these. I thought that was a nice touch.|Overall if you are wanting a real chilled & quiet week away in some clean & lovely apartments then you wouldn't be...

Just going home after a week at the hera well where do I start although it's self catering you have all food on site which is a very good selection and cheap as chips and big supermarket 3 minute walk away ...staff nick & dena are there from morning to night at the bar/restaurant nothing is too much trouble for them and their wee daughter is so lovable .maria and her husband is really nice they are always working doing something.. as its a family hotel you are made to feel very welcome by all staff ...cleaners in room everyday changing sheets,towels when you need them changed I personally would put do not disturb signs in all rooms so you can use them if needed saves cleaners having to go in (give themselves a wee break ) If and when you want to go out staff will phone you a taxi its 10 euro down to the strip a lot of the young ones walk it down takes roughly 30 mins | add another 10 mins on your at beach (same road) english breakfast is gorgeous... menu has a great selection breakfasts, lunch ,starters & mains and fabulous prices we did venture out one night to the strip had dinner & 2 cokes cost us 80 euro they must make a bomb all I can say is well done to all the family at the hera lovely apartments in quiet location away from all the hustle & bustle we will defo be back from...

I stayed at Hera Hotel Zakynthos for 5 nights with 3 of my close friends. We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel, with all the staff being very welcoming and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Maria at the reception who throughout our stay, was extremely friendly and always checking in on us and having a laugh. The rest of the staff members were equally friendly and made our stay there worthwhile. The food and drinks at the hotel were extremely affordable and tasty, and the food came fast as well as tasting homemade and fresh. The room itself was brilliant, with a nice balcony and it was very clean. The cleaner would come everyday and change towels, sheets, and give the room a proper clean. The pool was equally clean and taken care of, and after they shut the pool they would take a few hours every night making sure the pool was clean and sanitary for guests. As a lifeguard I was extremely pleased to see the pool being taken care of, as it ensures that guests can swim in clean, clear water. Overall, I absolutely loved our stay at Hera Hotel Zakynthos, and me and my friends all agree that we would 100% stay there whenever we return to Zante.
