Myzith Hotel — Hotel in Zakynthos Municipality

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Stella and her wonderful team at Myzith Hotel Zakynthos, Greece, for their kindness and hospitality. Even though I am not staying at the hotel myself, Stella went out of her way to help me (and my son) arrange a birthday surprise for my daughter-in-law, Sade, during her stay. Sade was so happily surprised with the beautiful cake, and I am truly grateful for the care and thoughtfulness that made this possible. Such warm gestures make all the difference and create memories that will be cherished. Thank you once again, Stella, for everything — your warmth and dedication are deeply appreciated. I can wholeheartedly recommend Myzith Hotel to anyone looking for a place where guests are truly cared for, and I very much look forward to visiting...

Afgaand op de goede recensies en de foto’s op de website kozen we het nieuwe Myzith Boutique Hotel (kamer met ontbijt) om onze vakantie op Zakynthos in luxe af te sluiten. De eerste indruk bij aankomst was alvast bemoedigend, mooie ligging en architectuur en we werden vriendelijk verwelkomd aan de receptie. Onze junior suite was modern minimalistisch, dwz er zijn geen kasten om je spulletjes op te bergen, alles hangt in ‘t zicht. De minibar bevatte 2 flesjes water, de Nespresso koffiezet vanop de foto’s was niet (meer) aanwezig. Na een goede nachtrust wilden wij graag goed ontbijten….maar wat een ontgoocheling!! Op 3 vouwtafels was een primitief buffet uitgestald…, geen vers brood - enkel toast en toastbrood. Fruitsap uit een tetrapak, beperkte keuze charcuterie en kaas, minipotjes confituur en boter. Dit alles, zelfs de boter, werd ongekoeld uitgestald. De voorgebakken eieren, spek en worstjes werden bewaard “au bain-marie”….die koud was. Wat gekoeld moest worden stond te warm, wat warm moest zijn stond te koud. Voor de koffie stond er warempel 1 Nespresso-apparaat kamermodel met capsules …een luxe voor een hotel met 19 kamers. De liefhebbers van cappuccino, latte machiato of warme choco kunnen die apart bestellen en…. extra betalen. Ik kan hier nog even verder gaan maar dergelijk onprofessioneel buffet en beleid is helemaal niet naar de klasse, standing en dagprijs die van zo een nieuw “boutique” *hotel mag verwacht worden. De Albanese managers waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam maar hun vaardigheden in hotelmanagement en hun kennis van het Engels zijn echt onvoldoende. Hierdoor kan ik mij helemaal niet vinden in de hoge waarderingscijfers van dit hotel en is het niet alles wat goud...

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and had a lovely time.

The pool was great, the rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly.

In some of the older reviews, I read negative comments about the breakfast. It seems the owners have taken that feedback seriously, because the breakfast was actually very good — with pancakes, croissants, yogurt, and fresh fruit.
