Hotel El Gran Chorti — Hotel in Chiquimula

The price is expensive and not clean. The bathroom had mold on the walls and ceiling . Also no place in the shower for the soap or shampoo so I just put it on the shower floor lol. The pool for some reason had like mold ,or millions of small particles and I asked them about it and they said yes it looks like mold and did not,I think they don't have it running or not chlorine. Also they don't have menu for room service I asked them and they just looked at me didn't say anything I was like I do I know what to order. They charge for everything like if you want ice to take to your room or if you want coffee to go cost much more than coffee in a cup .they ask cream or milk and charged me extra for the milk lol . The beds make noise the back board keeped hitting the wall anytime I moved just a little. It kept waking me up and the bathroom was so small I had to move to the side just to get out lol . They are far from 3 ⭐⭐ Stars so I gave them just two for the workers being at least nice and I can hear people going up and down the stairs I had the sing I paper stating how many towels I had in the room lol also had to wear a paper bracelet for two days so they now I rented a room lol . And everything is over priced food and all . I had to bring my towels down to them every time after I went to the pool to have a dry towel to take a shower because they just give you one per person. The workers wanted tips for everything, I felt like it was a obligation to tips them the way they asked it. I am very disappointed in this place. This has been my go to for the past 13yrs I have been coming. We stayed for one night with family. We paid 1,150Q which is a lot for 3star hotel but it’s supposed to be the best in town. At first, we found what seemed to be a cockroach leg by the sink. We got there at night so called them about 10pm to find out mass times. No answer what so ever. Had to google the times. In the morning, water went out mid shower. Tried calling again and no answer again. When the water came back it was muddy water. Also, This place needs an update asap.We went to buy some bags of ground coffee. The food is excellent, some local cream and cheese, beans and guacanole with your Plato Tipico of lomito, we were offered some water and it had some little bugs floting on it, not nice at all. We stayed on top of the lobby, small rooms nothing fancy, old A/C, the bathroom was nice, the beds needs something magical called pillows, one small one is just not enough.
