Hotel Uxlanik — Hotel in Municipio de Quetzaltenango

I was here for 1 night during my visit to the Quetzaltenango, Guatemala area. This place is very hard to find, especially at night. Luckily, the receptionist had not fallen asleep and was able to answer the phone at 11PM to open the door. ||||The rooms are very small, but cozy and well-laid out. The people at the facility are friendly, and their breakfast food is very tasty. The hot water took a long time to arrive at the shower, but the facilities were great. I loved how breakfast was very scientifically delivered to the room. The prices are a tad on the high side, given the limited facilities available at the place, but the place is a wonderful location to get a good night's sleep before and after the day's adventures.||||I STRONGLY recommend this place to anybody in the area looking for a home away from home when visiting the Quetzaltenango, Guatemala area and the myriad of wonderful sights the place...

Good value for the money, I only wish the bed was softer. The bed was very hard and the hotel doesn’t have heat or air, but I still slept. During the night, the low was 41° F (5° C) so it was an adjustment sleeping without a thermostat regulating temperature. The two blankets did keep you warm, though I welcomed the warm water in the shower. The area is quiet and appears safe. Someone is onsite all night.
