Red Film Productions: Capturing Love's Grand Canvas at the Guyana Marriott
At Red Film Productions, we don't just take pictures; we craft stories. We believe that every wedding, every event, is a unique narrative waiting to be told, and it's our passion to capture those fleeting moments of joy, love, and connection that make each celebration so special. Recently, we had the privilege of documenting a stunning wedding at the prestigious Guyana Marriott Hotel Georgetown, a venue that perfectly embodies the blend of modern luxury and natural beauty.
From the elegant ballrooms with their shimmering chandeliers to the breathtaking beachfront just steps away, the Marriott offered a diverse canvas for our creative vision. The day began with the bride and groom preparing in the hotel's luxurious suites, the air buzzing with excitement and anticipation. We captured the quiet moments of reflection, the shared laughter, and the tender glances that spoke volumes about the love they shared.
The ceremony itself was a spectacle of beauty, held in one of the Marriott's elegant event spaces. The soft, natural light filtering through the windows created a warm and intimate atmosphere, highlighting the couple's radiant smiles as they exchanged vows. We focused on capturing the raw emotions of the day, the tears of joy, the proud smiles of family and friends, and the heartfelt expressions of love that made the moment so unforgettable.
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the Marriott's stunning beachfront location. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow across the ocean, we stole the newlyweds away for a romantic photoshoot. The gentle sea breeze, the crashing waves, and the vast expanse of the horizon provided a dramatic backdrop for capturing their love story. We posed them against the backdrop of the setting sun, their silhouettes outlined against the fiery sky, creating images that were both timeless and breathtaking.
Back at the Marriott, the reception was in full swing. The grand ballroom was transformed into a magical wonderland, with twinkling lights, elegant floral arrangements, and a vibrant dance floor. We captured the joyous celebrations, the heartfelt speeches, and the energetic dances that filled the room with laughter and love. From the grandest moments to the smallest details, we were there to document it all, ensuring that every precious memory was preserved for a lifetime.
At Red Film Productions, we understand that your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. That's why we pour our heart and soul into every shoot, striving to create images that are not just beautiful, but also meaningful and personal. Our experience at the Guyana Marriott Hotel Georgetown and its stunning beachfront location allowed us to capture the unique magic of this particular wedding, creating a timeless collection of images that the couple will cherish for generations to come. We are passionate about telling stories through our lens, and we would be honored...
Read moreMy husband, my son and I, went on our annual visit to Guyana. We decided to spend a night at a hotel of choice, this time it happened to be the very highly complimented (tsk, tsk) Marriott Hotel Guyana. All Marriott Hotels are super expensive (no problem), however, in spending one’s hard earned money, we want to make sure that we get what we pay for. On making our the reservation (now my 7 year old is all hyped and looks forward to spending time at these high-end hotels), I made sure that I requested NOT to have any down pillows as my son and husband are super allergic to down, dust and dust-mites and other stuff. Needless to say, we checked in on Monday July 11th at the Marriott around 4:30 pm.., had dinner around 6:30 pm., returned to our room 7th floor room, showered and settled to bed, by 9:00-10:00 pm.. However, I noticed both my son and husband started to sneeze, runny nose, and became very stuffy, not thinking that our room had down pillows and comforters, I thought that maybe it was from being in the hot sun in Guyana, and so they both were catching a cold, but it got worse, then it dawned on me that there was down pillows and comforters in the room, for the rest of the night I was giving them both medication (every 4 hrs); now this could have been fatal for my son as his allergic reactions are much more intense than his dad. As if that was not enough, I assumed that it had to be dust mites that bit us all night. Overall, I felt like we were unwelcomed guests after $265/per night. To add insult to injury we ordered breakfast at 10:10 am, and around 11:05 am I had to call and remind them that we ordered-in breakfast, which came at the time I was making the queries, only to realize that part of our breakfast was not there and had to wait again and by the way, the whole wheat toast was not fresh tasting. Oh, I almost forgot, to get Wifi you had to either become a Marriott Member or pay for Wifi. Our stay a year ago at the Guyana Pegasus, we received free WIFI, even if it was incorporated in their bill it still was not $265/night with dust mites, delayed breakfast and extra-dry chicken wings that were served to my son the night we had dinner and we had to request another order of wings. So after returning to the U.S.A, I received an email asking me to RATE the Marriott Hotel Guyana, so I did. I subsequently received an email from a Mr. Victor Tenorio of the Marriott Guyana who asked me what was my best available time, so that he can call and we can speak of our stay. I provided him my 2 contact numbers and the best time for each. He called me ONCE, but I had already left the office, he then sent me an email and insisted that he will like to speak to me, I responded and told him again that he can call at the given times. NO DATE, NEVER HEARD BACK FROM MR. VICTOR TENORIO. The scenic view is GREAT (4 STARS) , their service …...

From the moment I arrived at the Marriott Hotel in Guyana, I was deeply impressed by the level of professionalism, warmth, and care shown by the staff. Though my stay was wonderful, the process of securing the reservation revealed areas for improvement.
Outstanding Service and Hospitality Once I checked in, the experience was exceptional. I was placed on the 3rd floor (Executive level), and the service team went far beyond expectations. Special recognition goes to Kevin and Jahniah from Room Service and Housekeeping. I arrived with a swollen leg, and Kevin took it upon himself to bring me ice packs daily — sometimes multiple times a day — and always followed up to make sure I was comfortable. His attentiveness and compassion were remarkable.
Jahniah, meanwhile, paid attention to every detail in maintaining my room. Each day she not only ensured it was spotless but also left thoughtful touches — towel art, kind notes, and a genuine sense of care that made the space feel welcoming. My room was always pristine and beautifully arranged.
Every staff member I encountered greeted me warmly in the hallways, creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality and pride in their work. These gestures, big and small, reflect a culture of excellence that truly elevates the Marriott experience in Guyana.
Areas for Improvement My only challenge came before my arrival. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I attempted to book my stay through the official website, but it only showed the Presidential Suite for $2,500 USD per night, with no other room options available. When I called the general Marriott line, I was informed that there was indeed availability at the Guyana location — but no visible pricing — which prevented the representative from booking the room directly. I had to make several calls before being connected to a gentleman named Claude Simple, who was both professional and incredibly helpful in resolving the issue.
While the on-site experience was five-star, Marriott may want to review the online reservation system and call routing process for the Guyana property to ensure guests can access accurate pricing and availability without such difficulty.
Overall Impression Despite the initial booking challenges, my stay at the Marriott Guyana was exceptional. The service, attentiveness, and genuine care from staff like Claude, Kevin, and Jahniah turned what began as a frustrating experience into a truly memorable visit. I look forward to returning and hope to see continued improvements to the online booking process so that others can enjoy a seamless experience from...
