Guancascos´Hotel & Restaurant — Hotel in Lempira

My 14-year old son and I stayed for four nights here while wrapping up a visit to Honduras. It's a beautiful hotel - spread out on a hillside a couple of blocks from the center of town, rooms tucked in a lush garden setting. Pre-trip communication about schedules and transportation was prompt and helpful. Never having been to Gracias before, we were unsure of how to arrange certain aspects of our stay - no problem! The hotel helped with anything we needed - from transportation back to San Pedro Sula at the end, to arranging a guide for a hike in Celaque National Park to even getting us there in the hotel mototaxi! The rooms are spotless and kept that way. The restauarant is in an open-air setting, with a lovely view for your meals or even for just whiling away some time in the afternoon or evening. This is a phenomenal hotel. Stayed for pleasure for 8 days. Ate in their restaurant with included breakfast daily. Had lunch and a few dinners as well. Great food. Delicious. Carla provided fantastic service. The rooms were clean and cozy. Warm to Hot water depending on our bath times. No a/c. But most nights you wont need it. It gets cool at night. (Well we traveled in late December so many not year round). But there is a powerful ceiling fan in case you need to ventilate the room. Lush, tropical foilage. It's so beautiful and peaceful. My daughter and I were visiting friends and did alot of the nearby activities. Zip lining, thermal waters, hiking to name a few. Lastly, the owner was so hospitable. She was extremely thoughtful and accomodating. Truly a wonderful and restful stay. A+++++++

I was just in Gracias, Honduras for a medical mission trip. The hotel and grounds are unbelievably beautiful. The rooms are comfortable with nice hot showers. The coffee made in the morning is so delicious and really jump started the busy day ahead. Froni is an amazing host as well as her staff who were wonderful to help take care of us all. The food was delicious at the restaurant, we had buffet dinners for our team every morning and evening. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Gracias.
