The grounds are pretty, but that is where the good ends. A large fire was burning directly behind the room we were about to rent. I asked the woman in charge if the air conditioner worked. She said “yes,” when we went in the room, it did not work. She eventually fixed it by flipping breakers. An hour later, AC went out again. I asked her where the breakers were so i could flip them next time they go out. She didn’t like this. Next I’m washing my clothes in the pila. Apparently, I was using the wrong pila, she told me to use a different one. At this point, I felt like I was a nuisance. Usually people at hotels are friendly, but here I felt like we were a burden. Then there was not any hot water in the shower. Of there had been hot water, I may have raised my rating, but that was the final straw. There are MANY hotels in Gracias, and we just happened to choose a dud. We’ve been traveling Honduras for months and have paid less than half the price for hotels with better service...
