Hotel located up hill from the bus stop. There are two bus stop eper utca bus stop (short cut way with 400 plus stairs) and oltvany koz bus stop. If you bring suitcase please alight from oltvany koz bus stop as its easier to carry the suitcase but takes a bit longer.

Hotel room is an old room but well maintained and clean upon arriving and check in. However during our 4 nights stay. The only cleaning they did was tidying up the bed, open up the curtain no vacum, no bathroom cleaning at all not even cleaning used cups

Bathroom shower situation is really bad. With broken shower head which water gets everywhere making the entire bathroom wet. When we asked for bath soap we got two sachet per day

Upon check in they give 2 sachet of 3in1 coffee and 2 sachet of tea and no daily refill

My final verdict considering location and service i dont think i...

Loved it! Talk about "a breath of fresh air" after two dismal weeks "elsewhere" in Hungary! But... "It's just not British!" Remember that! It is not and never was part of The British Empire so don't go expecting "Britishness!" Although all staff encountered spoke excellent English. Budapest was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Remember this please and as per "When in Rome do as the Romans do" the Hungarians like any other nationality have their own "take" on things. In particular, do not "expect" a double bed. It's just not the Hungarian way. They also have a very civilized attitude to duvet covers. One each (lol). That is correct - one single duvet each even if you are lucky enough to find a double bed! A concept I'm thinking of "adopting" here, at home! Excellent quiet, peaceful, countryside...

I went to Hungary for a stag do. I was one of a group of 5 men that stayed at this hotel. The location is about a15 min local bus journey from centre of Budapest. It is located at the top of a hill so access for people that are wheelchair bound or have difficulty walking will not be very easy. As for the hotel itself, room we had was big with access to a nice outdoor area direct from the room. Had one bedroom, bathroom, large living/dinning Space and kitchenette. We chose one morning to go for the breakfast served at the hotel each morning. What a mistake that was! It was cold tinned sausages, cold but of bacon and cold scrambled eggs. It was disgusting. We refused to eat it and cancelled our breakfast. Overall though our stay was nice. I would use this hotel again, just definitely avoid...

No breakfast. False advertising. When you buy your room it says free breakfast. However, you have to pay 8euros for the breakfast. I asked for a double bed but got 2 single beds. Pillows are lumpy - made of broken up sponge filling. No balcony. All pictures show balcony. View is rubbish. Just a couple of tall trees near the pokey window that block the wider view. Location is in the wilderness. There is a bus from the centre that takes 30 minutes to get here. To get to the hotel from the bus stop you go down the hill. At the bottom of the hill there is a path that is a stair case of about 400 steps that will exhaust you. There is nothing nearby here. No cafes. No restaurants. No shops. Room is nice. Bathroom is nice. Wifi is good but google locked me out warning about malware.

Helios is a pension hotel located in the hilly and greeny Buda region, therefore the air is clean, the surroundings are quiet and picturesque. With a private parking in a big courtyard, big terrace and plenty of space in the front of the hotel, on the public street, parking will not be a problem. Rooms are nicely decorated, with traditional, wooden furniture. Breakfast is an extra, however it's not expansive. Only an espresso and a croissant will cost more on the street in Budapest. The host is a nice person and makes your stay pleasant. Reception is 24/7.
