Upon arrival our reservation for 3 nights appeared to have been cancelled but not by us, I had booked the hotel 6 months previously and had the required paperwork to prove it. We had travelled from England with our 2 dogs to attend the World Dog Show, I knew that I hadn't cancelled it. Fortunately Aggie (the only English speaker at the hotel) was working on reception and managed to sort it out and find us a small room. She was very helpful even giving us her mobile phone number in case we needed a translator as none of the other staff spoke English. The room was very small and tired but served its purpose There was no restaurant or bar, the nearest being @ 2 km away. The location was excellent with a nature reserve adjoing it. Unfortunately the nearby property had a kennel of dogs who were let out just before midnight every night and barked continuously for over an hour waking us every night. Read moreBeen looking for a late sameday booking in Budapest as I had been driving with my son for hours. Was happy to find this one available close to where we were so booked it. When getting there we got greeted by an elder lady who couldn't speak English and "conveniently" informed us there's no way to pay by card. It was late and the thought of finding and ATM was not appealing. But the cherry on the cake was her behaviour. My 2.5y old son was energetic and maybe louder than the regular human being.
