The good: We arrived around 22:30 for one night stay in August 2024 and we found a free parking spot on the street so we didn't have to pay an extra 7 euros for a "parking space" in an already full courtyard at the premise. They have only 3 or 4 parking spaces in the courtyard so any extra car will inevitably block the others. Also, what they won't tell you is parking is FREE during week-ends in Budapest. We are a family of 5 so we booked two rooms and the host was able to fulfill our "close together" request. The rooms looked clean, the bathrooms too, each had the minimal kitchen appliances (a microwave oven and a tea kettle, two cups, two teaspoons, two bags of tea and two bags of sugar). Clean sheets, clean towels (but one of them had some discolored areas like it was used to wipe some chlorine). The TV was working fine, but the air conditioning was not. And here comes what we didn't like: The bad: The rooms were located in a nearby building, in the attic, and the air conditioning was not working. Room #10 and room #101, just so you know. For the record, room #9 was on the same inoperable split system. The host came to check the situation, and swore the air conditioning system was OK earlier that day ("somebody else checked out without any complaint, it was extraordinary hot during the day so the installation must have been working, otherwise our guests would have called us, like you did") and... he said he will INFORM the mechanic. You see, at 23:00, there wasn't much else to be done. I checked the Daikin website and a blinking green led indicates either low refrigerant level, either a dusty compressor (for a multi split system). Both situations describe the lack of basic maintenance of the system. So, long story short, after 15 minutes of messing with the controls, websites, fuses and whatnot, the manager left and we were forced to sleep in two very hot rooms, without insect netting on the windows (!). No offer to change the rooms was made. Around midnight, a huge Asian hornet (one of those extremely dangerous 4 cm wasps) entered the room (although the curtains were drawn). It was a pretty scary episode, for the kids especially. In the morning we realized the widows corners were full of spider webs. Same for the access stairs. The ceiling of room #10 looks like it may fall on your head at any time. My conclusion is they are struggling to maintain a floating line. At checkout, no refund was made, no apologies either, the lady at the counter was full of smiles and graces, she probably was not informed about the problems (or maybe she wanted to prevent a long discussion) so I swallowed my complaints and left without looking back. And we won't...

This place should be a three-star hotel, were everything to function as it should. Location is OK - it's a little out of the centre on a residential street but there are regular buses to Kelenfold metro station (otherwise 20 minute walk). Hotel staff are polite and friendly. However, I cannot give more than 2 stars due to the poor state of upkeep that I encountered in places. To list some of these: the carpets are covered in stains and need replacing; the room's door handle was very loose and will surely fall off soon; old stickers on the back of the door from where notices were previously attached; the plastic lightswitch was cracked; the other lightswitch simply did not work; the mount holding the shower head was broken meaning you could not raise it to a suitable height; of the two flushes on the toilet, the light flush did not work. On top of these faults, there are a few tiresome things to note: breakfast is in a completely separate building up the road and around the corner; breakfasts are OK (nice coffee) but most mornings the eggs were pre-mixed with ham which is not good for vegetarians or people who abstain from pork for various reasons; the rooms poorly insulated so you can here everything from the neighboring rooms, including TV, music, arguing and...

Absolute catastrophy. Avoid at all cost if you have a chance to go elswhere! After driving 700km we needed a stop for a night so we booked 2 rooms, 1 for 2 adults and one for 2 children, unfortunately late in the night. While i was busy bringing our luggage my wife had to deal with bugs in one room and a big hornet in other room. Both rooms seemed cleaned for the first sight. The smell in the rooms was bad. Like in the old houses. We asked to change the rooms so i inspected a room that was offered to us. It was also prepared for guests but was not clean. Crumbs and human hair was all over the couch. Then we got other rooms that we accepted because we already had no other choice , only to sleep in the car. The rooms we got were relatively clean but the AC was smelly, the curtain holder fell off the wall. My wife was in tears and could not sleep when a big spider came out from behind the AC. So we slept a few hours with our clothes on and left as soon as we could. The whole building needs a deep clean. I wonder how the authorities had not closed this place yet.

Disappointing. Rooms and breakfast space spread over 3 different buildings on the same street, some hundreds of meters between them, which was not advertised. We have received a low quality room. Parking inside yard: 6€/night. Otherwise, free on the street. Even if we had such bad surprises, they happily charged us €2 for a small bag of tea that we prepared ourselves. Bad smell in the room (#19). VERY stained and old and dirty and bad smelling carpets. Poor set windows, you could hear the street noise as if the window was open. You can hear through the walls the neighbours showering as well. Very sorry to say this, but I would definitely not recommend. The photos speak for themselves.
