I stayed here for five nights, booking a 1person standard double room. ||I went there using public transport, where you get off the bus you still have to walk quite a distance, approx 15-20 minutes uphill. The road and pavement are narrow and not even so you have to watch where you going. I chose this hotel because it looked quite close to where I had to be of a day, but quite frankly I still used cabs to get there n back because I hated the long walk. ||The room itself was quite big, I had a little corridor with wardrobes, one end the bathroom, the other end a nice big bedroom with chairs, coffee table, dressing table, a vintage TV, fridge, bedside drawers beside the bed. The window looked to the front but there was not much sun coming in because of the huge trees surrounding the hotel. Even though the temperature outside was 25-28 degrees Celsius, I still felt cold from 4pm every afternoon. ||I did not ask for breakfast so could not tell whether it was any good, but you should note there is no restaurant on site (despite advertising), and there is no shops, restaurants nearby. I have ordered food from restaurants delivering to that area in the evenings. |The fridge and TV were bit dusty and not plugged in when I entered the room, so I only found out that the fridge is not working when I came back with my shopping. This was rectified by the next day but I did not dare to eat/drink the stuff that would have had to stay cool overnight. Also the remote control wasn't working, but that did not bother me, did not even mention during my stay. |There was probably no guest in that room for a while as I made eye contact with a spider in the bed when I pulled down the quilt to get in. |During the five days I stayed there I used the laundry facilities. I had quite an issue with it because I asked one of the new receptionists Friday night if I can bring my laundry down or should I keep it till morning, I was advised to do the latter. Next day, Saturday morning as I was leaving I left my laundries there to do, on Sunday afternoon it still felt like it was taken out of the washing machine five minutes before. Clearly I wasn't happy because they keep all the laundry in the basement with all the big towels and beddings so there's no chance they could dry. I had to get a clothes horse from the basement, take upstairs and hang my clothes on it outside (it dried within two hours there). |Some days they cleaned my room, some days they didn't. Whilst the first day they didn't come in I took my bin out, second time I did not bother (still had to go to reception for toilet paper though). I wouldn't have asked for much, just to check my bin and bathroom daily. Both times my room wasn't serviced there was new staff on shift so I understand they might not have known, maybe they would need a bit more excessive training to know the basics . |I'd also like to suggest to provide hair dryers in the rooms because there is only one available at reception, first time we could not locate this, second time another guest took it the night before and did not take it back down. |The hotel itself is chilled and relaxed throughout the day and night, the only noise in during the morning. I didn't have to leave early and would have liked a good sleep but my room was too close to the stairs and right next to a cleaning cupboard. |Most of the staff were really good and made my stay more enjoyable. |All in all I have stayed in both worse and better hotels, this place is an alright hotel and not overpriced like many...
Read moreI arrived around 8 pm yet the place was completely dark and dead.||When I finally got in the welcome was quite cold. ||Rooms are OK for a Eastern European standard but far from being any good.||Bathrooms are quite bad and/or defective. My shower head sprayed the water all over the place.||Mattresses were quite bad. Not even a power socket to charge my phone near the bed.||||The worst part was the breakfast.||I didn't expect anything Hilton-like but this was a joke.||Couple of slices of the cheapest cheese possible. Some questionable salami.||Terrible coffee. Cheap tea with an irritating water dispenser. ||Every day the same single sliced tomato, old peppers.||Rotten apples. The list goes on...||||The 'hotel' is far away from the center, no shop or restaurant in walking distance.||The neighborhood is in disrepair and dirty - forget about a walk to get some fresh air.||||The verdict: for the price of the room + 2 cab fares to the city and back you can get a really good hotel in the center. Unless you want that 'Eastern European' feeling,...
Read moreOnly one thing was good: quite and good to use public transport!||The others were one of my worst experiences! ||When i arrived, nobody were at the reception. I was late, so I left my car there and hurried to my meeting! A couple was there also: they waited for more than 10 minutes before me came!!||The rooms are very poor, under avarage, old-fashioned. I felt myself as a student in a youthtels. The breakfast is also poor, but if anybody has hungry, find something fine! BUT the glasses were dirty, the knife and folk were dirty, the cup looked like somebody used before! Terrible!!||No music, just a huge nothing, quiet, quiet...and quiet! the crew was sitting there in the kitchen!!! weird to hear the breathtaking of the crew through the kitchenwall!! Like in a horror film!!||The wifi is...
