Romantik Hotel — Hotel in Budapest

A very cute looking old fashioned Hungarian hotel. Very basic but clean and tidy. No kettles or irons in the room. Shower was great but flooded the bathroom every time it was used. Fresh towels provided daily. Check out is a total pain. We wanted to check out at approx 8:30am on Sunday but could not find any way of leaving our keys without leaving the room unlocked. The front door was locked, as was the door leading from the bedrooms to the main hotel and there was no letterbox to post the keys through. We ended up having to leave a note for the owner to contact us when someone was available to check us out which was ok as we have family living nearby. However, if we'd had a plane to catch we wouldn't have been able to wait around and would have simply had to leave the keys unattended somewhere. Check out definitely needs...

Stayed there couple years ago...|It were quite long walk to metro station and as a girl it were afraitning sometimes walk that long road to hotel if you were at city late.|Our rooms were nice,but there wasnt any air conditioner in the room.|Breakfast were very simple and we ate once dinner there so it wasnt anything special.|Owner shut us inside of locked doors cause there wasnt any other customers then and he left from the hotel in night. |He gave me own key to that hotel rooms separate door for coming/leaving when i want. |Basicly it were nice hotel. Clean and nice stuff after all they didnt speak any english. I recoment this hotel if u wanna get cheap budjet and u dont mind...

Very nice staff at the reception but one of the receptionists doesn't speak English at all while the other does so it wasn't always easy to communicate especially if something extraordinary happens but both were trying hard to help in every way. The rooms weren't cleaned at all during our stay but we did get clean towels every day. Breakfast was great, just the lady serving it seemed under the weather most of the time. The location is good, close to public transport and all in all definitely worth the price you pay...
