Hotel Juventus — Hotel in Gárdonyi járás

Booked for one week on business. English speakers are Ok at desk and professional. Restaurant was not open for dinner or lunch, only serving breakfast for guests. Bar was open in PM. Breakfast was enough, but seemed a bit variable on time of service. Unremarkable food. Room was adequate and clean. Room got very warm in PM, as western exposure to sun. Shades helped. No air conditioning, but I also didn't ask for any. No soap in shower. Shower drain ran very slow, until I pulled cap and allowed free flow. Small towels, small bathroom, small room. No bathroom amenities and towels were not changed. WiFi worked well and no drops. Desk between beds. Pillow was that flat type considered fashionable in some places, but makes for no head support. Left windows open during night and cooled room fine. Watch for flying insects. Decent amount of noise from other rooms and bar/deck on ground floor. Looked like there was a pool. Nearest restaurant a short walk away. This is a beach hotel in a beach area, assume the rest. Cost was high for what was provided. I will probably try somewhere...

The hotel is easy to find via GPS, lots of free parking places, directly in front of the hotel. International speaking staff, free WiFi. A hotel below average imo., pretty "used". The location is perfect directly to the lake, and a panoramic view over the lake for some of the rooms. The all over problem is the Hungarian service ! Or lack of the same, as a frequent guest all around in Hungary is unfortunately more and more typical, no service, no smile, nothing. And it's getting more and more the wrong way, especially in the areas with a lot of tourists. At the current hotel I was sitting on the terrace and working for 2,5 hours, and I had to go into the restaurant to find a waiter, so I could order something to drink and some small "food". The waiter responded almost as if it was an insult to speak to him. However, I had something to drink, but that's how it was. Nothing as, "Yes Mr., I'll check in the kitchen what's possible." Not a smile. The same was for the breakfast, here I asked for a bottle of water, no help or smile. Not a hotel I...

Stayed at the hotel with some of my family in the first week of August. I booked two identical rooms with air conditioning. My mum and I arrived a day before the others and got checked into an extremely hot room with no aircon. When questioned the receptionist she told me all the air conditioned rooms were unavailable. I thought I may have made a mistake with my booking with I made months prior to the visit. But when the rest of my family arrived the next day they got a fully air conditioned room with a modern interior. I booked the exact same rooms and we were stuck on what can only be described as a sauna with a tiny old TV. Don't recommend it to anybody. The hotel was heaving with groups of unattended, screaming children. The second day we tried to use the Hotel's "free" bike hire offer, they were unable to help us because of a broken down car. Eventually got us 2 bikes which we were charged for at check out. Complete disaster of a holiday. Will not be returning...
