I've spent here 2 days with my Colleagues, it was a nice stay altogether, if we talk about the hotel and the services. The breakfast is very nice, and the dinner was good as well. The rooms are spacious, clean and bright - mine faced the lake. || ||The reason I did not give them 4 out of 5 was the incident what happened during the evening. I was sitting in the hall with my Colleagues and we're listening to music while chatting (music came from the tv). I saw on the tv listing one of my fav song so I asked for the remote from my Colleague, to change the music to the one I like. I was pointing the remote to the tv and didn't even push any buttons when someone grabbed my wrist (didn't see who since I was sitting and he was behind me) and took the remote from me in a very rude way-he was literally tearing it off from my hand. ||I and my Colleagues were totally astonished, what happened, and then we realized it was one of the waiters. He was very upset and rude and he was telling us that it is too loud and he would like to inform me that there are children in the hotel if I didn't notice it yet...I /we couldn't say anything, I just told I didn't change anything on the t and didn't even push the button, the TV was on the same volume level, but he kept repeating what he said, he didn't listen to me. I don't think this approach was appropriate, he could have asked me to give him the remote, but he decided to grab my wrist and take the remote from me causing me physical pain. This is not OK and especially not okay in a 3+-star hotel. I do understand that it could be loud, but it was not me who did the changes and he shouldn't ever lose his temper and "attack" a...
Read moreI was there for a meeting and the hotel was totally booked for the people attending to the meeting. At the region I think the second language is german so it was hard to find someone speaking english around and at the hotel you need to show what you want and body language helps :)) so if you dont know hungarian or german be prepared. One side of the hotel faces Lake Balaton and has a fantastic view fantastic sun rise and set. Moreover the rooms at the 3rd floor are renovated so 3rd floor looks better then the 2nd floor. As it was off season and only people around were the meeting attendees I can not really comment on the facilities and their availability but the food was very tasty. also at the restaurant the service was great. the food varieties were always enough to please every taste I guess because there were always a fish, a poultry, a pork and a beef dish available. more than one variety of vegetables and a cheese and a salad bar was always present. the only bad thing about the hotel was there were no hair dryers and disposable slippers at the rooms and the towels were very old and greyish giving the sense of dirtiness but they actually were clean and smelled like bleach. There are a lot of spiders at the region thats why keep the door of your balcony closed if you dont like them in your room. you can always open your windows and air conditioner. Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and can easily...
Read moreThe hotel location is pretty good. Staff speaks German as well.
The rooms are very clean but could use a 21st century update. Unfortunately the towel policy is a bit odd. We got one medium sized towel for the whole stay and a literal table cloth for the pool/sauna which was absolutely useless, after asking we did not receive another towel we could use for the pool/sauna area. If we knew about that, we would have brought our own!
Food is… okay and edible. We had both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was better than dinner, there was no real variety at dinner. A ton of meat and one normal side and a veggie side with a salad bar. For dinner only tab water and breakfast some watered down juices. Food was fairly bland.
The prices for out of the package drinks is a bit high.
The WiFi is absolutely horrible and useless.
Plus point, you get free entry to the Strand down the street.
For that price, not...
