My wife and I had 8 nights in August 2013 at this fine little hotel in Komarom, looking from buildings outside, Hetvezer seems to be the best of the hotels adjacent to the thermal bath in Komarom. ||We had room 111, with a balcony overlooking the lap-pools and the outside areas of thermal bath compound. The room was well sized, very clean and well appointed and fully meets the standards of a good 3star hotel. Bed was comfortable and the ac working fine and quietly (when the balcony door is closed and the key card inserted). When you remove the keycard, all power goes out (except fridge) which is a bit annoying if you want to charge computer/phone/toothbrush. Only one keycard was provided at checkin, but honestly we didn't ask if we could get a second card, maybe it is possible.||||Very friendly and helpful staff in reception with general good english and very good german.||||We didn't take BF as we were eating with my parents who were camping at the next door Thermal Camping & Hotel, which hotel from outside looks very old and not good maintained. Overall, the camping facilities were a bit dull looking, and it was clear that the camping guests mainly were for the mature couples that were coming for the access to thermal bath which is mandatorily included in daily rate, as is also the case for Hetvezer.||||We booked directly via Hetvezer and paid the published rate as informed on website around 66EUR/night ex BF including all taxes for high season. I saw during our stay that the hotel next door had special price for 50EUR incl BF, which from outside also looked nice, so maybe the price we paid at Hetvezer was not the best value at that time. Perhaps the rate is a bit on the high side.||||All our requests and questions were promptly confirmed and attended to via email prior to our stay.||We also rented 2 bikes for 1week from the hotel. Well maintained lady bikes with 3 gears, chain lock and lights. The saddle was a bit hard for rides more than 30min. We got a discounted deal for the week of 2000HUF/day/bike (normal day rate 2500).||||We overall had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay and can recommend the hotel and the service extended...
Read moreWe asked for a quiet room. In the message they confirmed that it would be quiet and that it would not face the street. What we didn't know was that it was right next to the air conditioners, meaning we could hear them all day and all night and not be able to rest. We called the receptionist because the noise was very annoying all afternoon and there was no solution, just that it would stop. It didn't stop all night. The rest was fine, but if you pay 135 euros per night in Komárom, the least you...
Read moreApart from a few small things, like rental bike conditions and the lack of an in-house gym, the place is really nice. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy. The view from the balcony is awesome, overlooking the pool. The water of the outdoor pools were clean and warm enough. ||Staff is nice are very helpful. ||||No complaints over all. :) Had...
