I stayed here for 11 nights as it is right next door to the Davinci Clinic where I was having surgery. The rooms are ultra modern and spotlessly clean. The public areas are the same. Wifi is free throughout the hotel. There are plenty of parking spaces. After surgery I needed a few special requests and these were met without hesitation. I doubt any large hotel chain would have offered me the same exceptional service that Gabor, Daniel and the rest of the Staff gave me. I felt unwell one day and just enquired at reception about the possibility of using a blood pressure monitor to check my BP. Within 2 minutes one of the lovely therapists had sat me down and was checking my BP for me. Following this another lovely therapist then gave me a complimentary head and shoulder massage. Absolutely perfect customer service! Nothing was too much trouble. |Drink prices in the hotel, including the minibar are excellent. |The only bit of constructive criticism I can offer the hotel management for its English guests is that there are a couple of issues about breakfast and food availability which need addressing. The breakfast food definitely needs to be refrigerated. The items are laid out from 7am. Yoghurts, cheese, salami etc. By 9am the produce is not palatable especially in the heat of the summer. A very minimal continental breakfast is offered, although you can ask for hot cooked items. We did this on a couple of occasions but the language barrier hindered things and we never got what we asked for. Maybe the hotel could offer a more extensive printed menu for English Breakfast, Hard boiled egg, soft boiled egg etc. |The hotel is right at the top of a hillside. Without a hire car you would need to walk a very long way down to the town to find shops and restaurants. For this reason it would be better if the hotel increased the choice on the lunch and dinner menu. As a guest using the hotel after surgery, had I not had a relative to bring me meals to my room I would have struggled for lunch and dinner. |Other than the food issues mentioned above, I cannot fault the hotel. I would definitely recommend it and I will be returning next year when I go for further surgery. Thank you to all the staff for everything you did for me to make my stay more comfortable. See you...
Read moreReally nice hotel - modernly furnished, clean, with comfortable bed, and room in general, and nice bathroom. It has this theme thing - rooms don't have numbers, but are named after some sports (ours was sailing- so we had illustration on the wall, framed pictures and magazine about sailing :). Breakfast was good - you can order hot dish, scrambled eggs from the breakfast menu, so it is served hot. At least this was the case when we visited - in February 2015. Hotel is on the hill, near TV tower - you will need a car probably to go to the city center but you will have great night slip. If you would like to walk to the hotel after couple of drinks than you can maybe choose some hotel near the center. Staff if really helpful and nice, they can improve their English though.. We had difficulties finding the street when we first arrived, so you may remember Fenyves street as well (if you are using Nokia maps..). For every recommendation. Good...
Read moreMy husband (who is Hungarian) and I lived in Pecs in the early '90's and have visited this city many times. This hotel is a breath of fresh air, literally. It is a little out of the way, not near the city center, up in the Mescek Mountain. It is linked to the DaVinci Clinic, where cosmetic surgery is performed and patients recover here. Having stayed in almost all of the hotels in this city over the years, it is by far, the cleanest, most modern and quietest. Lovely breakfast, no restaurant. Staff are very friendly, helpful and competent. Beautiful surroundings. Free WIFI. Massages and other cosmetic procedures are available. Since this hotel is on the mountain, it would be best to have a car. If you love very clean, minimalist environments, this hotel is for you. We are thrilled to have this hotel in Pecs and will not not...
