Hotel Kapitány Wellness — Hotel in Sümegi járás

I personally like quiet places. This hotel has been quite busy with a lot of families and other middle-class people. Service is exceptionally professional: at every possible encounter fast, perfectly polite and helpful. The hotel itself is also well-designed for the public it serves. Pricing is also exactly corresponding to service received. The inner court may be a little crowded, we have been before the main season where one pool was already filled with water and we could cool ourselves in it after the sauna. A weird minus point is that the small pond in the sauna area is filled with warm water. Also, in the room, the curtains did not really blind light so the morning sun may wake you up. Dinner and breakfast were both enjoyable; not high cuisine but well composed so that both adults and kids can have a good meal. Combined with the nice little town of Sumeg, the castle, the hiking trail nearby, this place can be especially recommended for families with kids. A very good place, we're going back, Im.sure. Stuff that did annoy me or more like where they could improve: diving water temperature : its too hot. I get it, you have to have the thub not that cold but then what's with the showers? Why dont I have access to cold water afer being in the sauna. Such a wasted opportunity. This doesnt even cost anything. wellness gadgets : sprinklers and stuff. Some of them did work but nearly half of them did not... The ones for the kids ton be precise did not. The place was packed so it wasnt that there weren't enough guests... I know these things are hard to maintain, but I feel a bit tricked: they are offering you the coolest wellnes experience and then the gadets are off/broken 50%. Not cool. Either report this on the site or fix them.

Food was excellent and they have some gluten free and dairy free options. Very few but still, it is available. The hotel is nice and with kids 6 and 8 the kid's pool was fun. There was some entertainment for children every night. The room was disappoinment. The bathroom was odd, the toilet paper holder was on the other side of the bathroom in front of the toilet to far away to reach.... Wierd. Also we booked last minute and ended up in a room were there were only single beds put together for the adults For our kids they had one comfortable bed but the other was a pull out bed which was super uncomfortable. When we mentioned it as we were paying for the room their only comment was : next time book a different room. Very rude. Also the steam bath did not work properly. When I mentioned to the receptionist they said: they will fix it tomorrow. She did make a call when I asked her politely again about it. The other spa services...
