Pergola Bed and Breakfast — Hotel in Siófoki járás

I spent here a week with my wife in august 2014. The hotel is located in Balatonfoldvar, close to the Lake Balaton, on the top of a hill. It offers a great panoramic view over the Lake Balaton. The stuff is friendly, always helpful and it speaks, besides Hungarian, German or English. There is free parking on location and in-door free wifi connection. There is a possibility for breakfast too. The food and beverages aren't on a wide range, but they are good and tasty. The rooms are pretty large and clean, with a small balcony. The bathroom has a bathtub included. For a small fee, there is the possibility to enjoy a sauna. Outside, there is a large garden, with sunbeds and a spectacular view over the Lake Balaton. For dinner, there are some good restaurants in the city center. The free beach is located close to the hotel, a 5 minutes walk down the hill, on a slinky alley. Other tourist attractions include the city of Siofok (17 km away), the city of Tihany (reachable via regular boat rides or by ferry from Siofok) or simple boat joyrides on the lake. Facility is good for a 2-night stay, but I wouldn't recommend or return there. Retro style hotel. The floor in the room and bathroom were not clean. The breakfast place is small, narrow variety of food. AC is limited in its efficiency, bathroom is time travel back to 30 years. Staff is not friendly. The only thing that is good about the hotel is the view and the balcony in the room, the beach is quite close. WiFi signal didn't work either in our room just in the corridors. TV is not smart and there are not...

We have been scolded by the owner to 'go to hell' because our children were playing in the garden opposite street of their facility. Very rude owner/ manager lady who even denied to have a proper talk with us! She was so unacceptable and unprofessional. Therefore I can only recommend people to stay away from this 'hell of a hotel' as I don't even want to imagine how she treats...
