because the Ferry schedule was postponed, changed, altered AND delayed...... we quite possibly could not make our booking... Eva was our contact during the uncertainty and was very profession and helpful||once we finally did arrive, we found the access to key box, and entry to the building simple and convenient. The rooms well furnished and exceptionally bright an cheery||easy to use laundry available. the rooms had comfy beds and well equipped kitchenette... unusual check in and access for USA visitors, but we had seen the "self check in" model in Iceland before and the only hiccup was checking our spam file for the instructional email...... would Highly recommend. A very good value, especially for 2 or 3 night stays...... easily the best overnight accommodations we have experienced in visiting Iceland...

The place is very industrial looking on the outside but functional on the inside. It is spacious and clean. Be aware that there are no one on-premises that will meet you and help in any way. The code for the box to get your key will be sent to you and most likely end up in spam. Also, the boxes are located on the right side of the main door, again not explained. There are no amenities other than laundry.||||So, for a clean, no-frills, somewhat quiet place with a killer view if you have a front-facing room. This...

Stayed at Eldey Apartments the first weekend of May. Most amazing stay we had in Vestmannaeyjar, great restaurants, a local brewery, and Eldheimar museum. Lots of hiking and Eldey is very conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood, short walk to good hiking trails (mountain hiking), 5 min walk to the golf course and approx. 20 min walk to downtown.
