Hotel Vikram Palace & Restaurant — Hotel in Agra

I had arranged a small function in the basement hall of Hotel Vikram Palace, Agra and have also booked a few rooms. They have promised me a lot of good stuff at the time of booking but they have got very pathetic service. For everything that was being agreed upon, I have to ask them multiple times. The worst part is poor cleanliness, poorly trained staff, no commitment values.

They (Owner-Solanki ji) can go to any extent to maximize the profit. He is very good in trapping you with his sweet talks in the beginning and if you catch hold of him at the time of function, he also seems to be trying to deliver what has been promised, but the things never materialize.

The only saving grace was the food quality. Its good and was served hot.

Rooms

At the time of booking, they have shown me very clean and nice rooms. When my guests arrived, they offered me some other rooms (that were small, not nice) and told me that the rooms that I have seen before are currently occupied. With great difficulty, I got one good room. Initially I have asked for 3 rooms but due to this response, I have to book another 2 rooms in the nearby hotel.

FYI - The 2 rooms just behind the reception were good but they use these rooms mostly for showcasing the rooms quality to the prospective clients. Try to get these rooms instead of similar rooms.

Venue Hall -

At the time of booking, they have promised a lot of decoration on the entry gate, fully carpeted hall, covered chairs, decorated stage, dressed waiters, use of gloves by waiters, dressed guard at the gate etc. In reality, No Cleanliness. There were flies and mosquitos in the hall. Initially they did not put the carpet on the floor but when I asked for the same, they lay down the dirty carpets. The entry gate was not decorated at all. Instead, the flowers from the previous function has also not been removed from the gate. Also the cloth used in the gate is torn from many places giving it a very bad look. On repetitive requests, the hotel staff improve its condition a bit. The security guard was missing. When I inquired about the same, I was being told that he is on holiday today. I have asked for 800 balloons decoration but charged me for 1000 balloons. Deny the flowers decoration at the last moment. They tell me that if I arrange for the flowers, they will decorate using those flowers. The waiters just keep on serving water for most of the time instead of snacks, cold-drinks. The cold-drink was served at room temperature instead of cold. When asked, they told me that the have just bought it from the market and hence the cold-drink is not cold. There were 2 types of ice-cream in the desert but they keep on serving vanilla ice-cream since that is cheaper than butter-scotch flavour. This was the worst experience I ever had We reached in the evening, and despite having booked way ahead, the room wasn't ready, and it took them an hour to get it ready, there were so many mosquitoes and flies, also even after taking an hour to clean the room was in despicable state, the service phone in the room didn't work, they said there will be hot water and there was no hot water even after waiting for 2 hours, i asked for tea they never bought it

The owner said that please don't book us on oyo because we don't get any profit (he just wanted to have profit) Everything was so bad that we couldn't even stay the entire 24 hours

Ps: I don't even want to know what those stains on the pillow or bedsheet were
