The Radisson Blu Resort Visakhapatnam promises a luxurious stay on the Visakhapatnam coast, and is a welcome relief to the otherwise boring and bland hospitality scene this city was suffering from a few years ago(except for a couple of mediocre chain hotels in the Varun beach area!) In fact the highlight of our trip to Vizhag itself, was the stay at this lovely property and the pampering we received from its warm and welcoming staff!

This property is a blissful mélange of style and serenity, making it the perfect destination for guests to soak in beach vibes and immerse in luxury. The spectacular landscaping and the walk through offers a sense of arrival while the ocean inspired lobby instantly puts you at ease. Being located a stone’s throw away from the sea, an uninterrupted view of the ocean blues naturally serves as a primary design factor here. In a nutshell, this sanctuary of a hotel shelters an entire world of serenity, comfort and luxury in itself. Every corner here exudes elegance and warmth.

LOCATION:A good 1-hour drive from the airport, a pretty one along the coastal road, takes you to this massive property. It boasts an enviable location on the beachfront, providing guests with beautiful ocean views and easy access to the beach.

ROOM: We stayed in Room 246, which was a SUITE room, so this review is based on that; SIZE: The suite was big enough and came with a tastefully decorated living room and massive bed room; VIEW:Lovely views of the greenery and the Ocean at a distance! ; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa quality toiletries by Radisson’s own brand

SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. The GM (Mr.Abhishek Pani) is a rockstar and engaged entire team to ensure the best stay experience for us. Special Shout-out to FARAZ from the Front office for enhancing our stay, and his team including ACHUTH for a warm welcome experience. We were blown away by the super personalized hospitality offered by SAILESH(head of F & B) and CHAKRADHAR( Services Director) who made sure each and every tiny requirement we had were met, and exceeded expectations! The whole F & B team at the bar and restaurant were such darlings for hosting us like family(Callouts to - ).

DINE + DRINK: Dining at the Radisson Blu Visakhapatnam is generally a delightful experience. The hotel offers multiple dining options, including international cuisine and local delicacies. The UPPER DECK Lounge bar is a great place to unwind in the evenings (especially at the terrace area). The ETHNIC restaurant serves fine local cuisine and the Breakfast at the lobby restaurant was an overwhelmingly delightful affair! The Chefs indulged us so much we were certainly fatter when we checked out than we were when we checked in!! WE tasted so many authentic recipes we couldn't keep track or count how many wicked dishes we gobbled. I will let the pictures do the talking!

FACILITIES: The Gym was well equipped with a full range of weights and Cardio machines. However the basement location made it feel a bit claustrophobic. The swimming pool is an absolute stunner and as luxurious as a dip can get!

Raddisson blu After a long travel of six hours I reached the beach property of raddisson blu in the cloudy city of vishakapatnam.. Hoping to be assigned quickly to my room I waited patiently until I was ushered by the lady in the reception Ms Awk- winderr that the check in is at 3 pm . Dare you, she didn’t feel ;Not a tinge of warmth or “afsos” seeing my tired face .. never even tried to say we will try to get the room ready as possible.. that was rude I guess or has she been trained not to be emotionally available to tired traveler’s.. But then the other lady on enquiry politely said we are trying to get it ready but it will take atleast half n hour.. then I thought maybe I should have lunch and asked her if she can tell me the assigned room to be used in the restaurant but she said plainly can’t divulge that to you … hmmm strange rule. Not telling me which room I am being given .. Then they assigned me to a room which was road side after making me wait for one hour.. Thanks to the manager Mr………. I got assigned to a quiet room. But then I came in the restaurant hoping for more stone cold employees of raddisson blu .. But miraculously the staff in th restaurant was warm and welcoming.. Especially the chef Mr.Azzaruddin.. he personally took care of my customised meal inculcating his professionalism upholding along with the care of a hospitality brand which Raddisson is be famous for.. Treatment of the tired traveler .. Thank you chef for being so kind and for the wondrous lunch and breakfast spread along with awesome pasta… you made my blue mood due to Ms Awkwinder to happy mood with your yummy delish food.. 5 star to Raddisson for Chef Azharuddin! Thank you for accommodating our customisation of less spicy in dinner. A request Chef We need more tandoori kebabs veg choices. Appreciating the efforts of Chef Mamtaz, Chef Dipankar , Chef Zuber , all the dining staff especially Vahsy who made it very special by her everlasting smile and attitude along with Nandini ,Kim ,Mr. Laal and Mr. Tirupati. A special mention of the Millet corner .. Ragi laddoos, upma , malt was simply a unique addition to the whole breakfast spread. The haughtiness of the reception ladies ended with hospitality of the dining staff. Alls well that ends well I suppose. To add to the wonderful food experience, the veg seekh kebab by Chef Abhay was the best I had ever.. taste in each morsel .. The beetroot Tikki kebab by Chef Azzaruddin must be patented no pun attended.. The kebab was succulent yet firm ; and each bite tantalising the taste buds.
