Subha's Homestay Tinsukia — Hotel in Assam

Subhalaxmi and her family are great hosts and made sure we had an easy and stress free check-in. We were provided will all the details and other information required well in advance before the check-in. We were welcomed by Subhalaxmi herself with warm coffee and snacks. The house was neat and exactly as described and was very cosy for a family or is even excellent for friends who wish to stay together. We preferred to have Subhalaxmi's home made dinner and it was the best choice we'd made. Amazing organic vegetables, home grown and cooked, served by Subhalaxmi's family, that we then enjoyed in the warmth of the home after everyday's long travels. The chutneys prepared by Subhalaxmi's mum is something amazing that we fell in love with. She prepared different chutneys everyday and we were absolutely blown away. The other dishes were great too. (Awesome and thank you very much for the food, the kindness and warmth that you guys showered on us during the entire stay. Amazing humans!!!) Subhalaxmi and her brother shared a ton of knowledge about places to visit around Tinsukia and few places in Arunachal Pradesh that is a quick drive from their place. We were absolutely stunned and feel so lucky to have found them. It was so nice to share travel experiences and learn more about cultures, etc. We were offered every help that we requested and even more. We even extended our stay here after their suggestion to visit Arunachal Pradesh to travel more in and around this area. We were given the best advice and we enjoyed every bit of it. You can also look around and visit the tea estates, organic garden that are right at the doorstep of Subha's home stay. Located amidst nature & greenery, Subha' homestay is a perfect place for traveler's preferring a home away from home. The lush tea gardens just footsteps away is an add-on for refreshing walks. Rooms are spacious with needed amenities.A single clean bathroom with great hygiene and 24 hrs running hot & cold water. DIY paintings all over the walls gives a refreshing look.One cute lit'l room which we preferred as the work place is amicably DIY decorated with a stack of bestseller novels, quick readers will love it. The market is just 1-2 kms away and homestay being on centralized location is easily accessible to all the tourist spots.Guest loving self cooking, the kitchen is all yours.Non electric water filter is available for drinking water,however we chose to buy mineral water as the purification sheet was slightly doubtful.Electricity backup perfectly worked & gave us no woes. Overall stay was pleasant, both Uncle & Aunt were so adorable,they instantly give you the homely, inviting & comfortable vibe. And last but not the least, Subha, girl hats off and much love to you. The property is spacious and comfortable. The place is in calm and peaceful surroundings. Also it is close to Arunachal Border and day trips can be made into Arunachal Pradesh. Had an amazing experience. Would recommend Subha's Guest house to anyone visiting Tinsukia and nearby places. Also to anyone looking for long-term place to stay in these trying times of Covid. I had an amazing experience with hostess and family. She welcomed me and took care of all things as promised. Went for long walks to explore the surrounding tea plantations and forest area in close vicinity. Authentic Assamese food with most of the ingredients from house garden. The host was good with timely communication and information for. directions and places around to explore.
