I didn't understand the behaviour of the person who was sitting in the reception. I visited Burdwan with my wife for some official work of my company when I checked into the hotel the person in reception told me that I have to submit my marriage certificate. They didn't allow me the room without that but at the same time I see 3 or more couples who came there for 2 - 3 hours of enjoyment and he allowed that couple without any documents.

So why this hypocrisy and next day at 4 pm a person from the hotel came to my room to ask for the pending payment of rs 1500 But I didn't have any pending payment of 1500. That person doesn't have any common sense he can call in the intercom if he has any doubt.

My recommendation - don't come to this hotel if coming there with family and the person in reception should have to visit a hotel management College to understand the hotel business.

I had a good stay here . I stayed there with my brother . The objective was to see the tourist attractions of Burdwan . I will just list Pros and Cons here :-

Pros :- Room was spacious and comfortable . Room rent is 600 for Non AC and 1000 for AC . If someone books online , he/she has to pay double that amount . My suggestion is to come, check the room and stay . Even if rooms are not available , there are many hotels nearby .

Very convenient location. Walking distance from railway station and Curzon gate .

Lots of eating options present in vicinity .

Liquor shop at the basement of the hotel .

Cons :-

If someone comes with own car, forget this place. This has no parking .

No lift/elevator ,staircase is narrow . Not suitable for...
