Regenta Central Harimangla, Bharuch — Hotel in Bharuch

I recently attended a one-day training session at Hotel Regenta Central, and I had the opportunity to enjoy their breakfast and lunch offerings. The training hall was spacious, and the staff was accommodating and attentive throughout the event.

The breakfast spread was decent, with a variety of options to choose from. There were both Indian and continental options available, with eggs, bacon, sausages, and toast as well as idlis, vadas, and samosas. The quality of the food was good, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. The breakfast staff was quick to replenish the dishes, ensuring that everything was available for everyone.

For lunch, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options were available, which was a great touch. The food was delicious and flavorful, with a variety of dishes to choose from. The chicken curry was particularly tasty, and the veg biryani was also quite good. The dessert selection was also impressive, with a range of sweets and pastries. The lunch staff was friendly and helpful, making sure that all the guests were well-catered for.

As for the hotel itself, I found it to be clean and modern. The decor was elegant, and the facilities were well-maintained. The staff was friendly and professional, and they made sure that our needs were met throughout the day.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Hotel Regenta Central for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Regenta comes highly recommended in Bharuch and I had rather high expectations from it, given the premium (for Bharuch) pricing. The hotel seems fine at first look but look closer and you will see the issues. The sofa at the reception is so old that it has dark spots on it. The carpet in the corridor is discoloured and old. The hotels bills itself as a business hotel but the office chair provided in my room was wobbly and titled to one side making long hours of working impossible. The AC remote was broken into pieces and stuck together by several tapes. The room service is terribly slow, mere orders for coffee takes 60-90 mins to arrive on occasion. In one case, we were served breakfast in an unwashed tray which had stains from what probably seemed like Daal .The bowl in which we were served bread had crumbs of papad. Its gross. In case of toast for breakfast, one day they forgot to give butter or jam with bread, another day gave only butter and another day both butter and jam but in lesser quantities.

Room service often doesnt pick up the phone so you have to call up reception to wake up the folks in room service.As a final act of lethargy, it took them around 40 mins to get our luggage after we checked out.

Beyond these, the rooms are well maintained, bathrooms are clean. But I can get good well maintained AC rooms at a third of the price in Bharuch. So why should I pay extra for Regenta?

Regenta is running purely on its past reputation but that will soon run out. Then the customers will dry up and so will the reservations for parties and weddings that...

Disappointed at Regenta Hari Mangala's Decline

The Regenta Hari Mangala used to be a place of luxury in Bharuch. Sadly, my recent visit fell far short of those expectations.

The most glaring issue was the lack of air conditioning in the common areas. During the sweltering heat, this made simply traversing the lobby an unpleasant experience. This frugality extended to the bathrooms, which were a mess of uncleanliness and disrepair. Fixtures malfunctioned, adding to the overall sense of neglect.

The restaurant woes mirrored the property's decline. The staff, while friendly, struggled to understand basic English, let alone answer questions about the menu. Tables remained uncleared and unset, creating an unhygienic and chaotic atmosphere. Our order was a frustrating affair. The wait staff took an excessive amount of time to attend to us, and when they finally did, they delivered an incomplete and inaccurate order. Out of seven dishes, we received only five, and two of those were incorrect.

This is a heartbreaking downturn for what was once a prestigious establishment. The Regenta Hari Mangala's management needs to seriously address these issues to regain its former glory. Unfortunately, for now, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The chicken dishes we ordered were uncooked with pink mushy flesh. When I told the waiter about this, the brought the cook out and, putting it briefly, returned with charred pieces of the same kebab we returned. I am disgusted by the lack of customer service and lack of care...
