I recently had my sister's wedding hosted at Awadh Palace The decoration is a bit costly. The food is avarage quality. The last but not the least the behaviour and courtesy of the staff and manager is a big zero.
Manager Behaviour We had a bill of something 7lac out of which 6;75;000 was paid before handed( ie before the event) just a minimal amount of 25;000 (approx) was left out When my family members went at the ground early in order to check the arrangement and decorations ; the manager was literally wandering around for the leftover payment after convincing for an hour and after grooms arrival the manager was troubling by calling again and again ; the manager would have called me not less than 12-15 times . As a courtesy and a bit of trust the staff would have given us some time for leftover payment but no the staff was rushing in such a way that they have a train departing within min or I would be getting insolvent
Now the quantity of the food The quantity of the food compared to the number of plate arranged for the event is not satisfactory and sufficient The starters was decided to be served for 2 hrs as per the agreement ; but the starters were not served for 2hrs because a reason was given that the starters had been finished ; the quantity of the starters were also not sufficient Many of the guests were not served with the starters
The main course no panner / kofta was left out only thing which was left out was gravy however the number of plates left was approximately 100 even after requesting the staff for the refilling the staff had a lame answer that " Sir we have plenty of food left " but after an hour when the guest left out without having the food they were refilling the food.
These were the major things which I faced at Hotel Awadh Palace so anyone intending to host party especially wedding ; marriage anniversary ; reception party please do consider the following points aforesaid mentioned.
