Calista Resort — Hotel in Delhi

Located on delhi – Haryana border, the resort is oriented towards grand marriages and functions. We came across the same on MakeMyTrip when we were searching for discounted room and high hotel rating.

#room/Amenities : 4.5/5 The room was in excellent condition, though there can be better maintenance. One of the large mirror in the room was stained and one of the LED light was broken. All in all, it’s a big room with high ceiling, great lighting, beautiful bathroom and nice toiletries.

#food : 4/5 We tried kadai chicken and naan for dinner. It didn’t disappoint as the gravy was fresh and superb and portions were large. The price is on the higher side for in room dining. The breakfast had to be ordered in room and the buffet is basis occupancy. We ordered omelette, butter toast, paratha, sandwich and poha. It was really tasty and no limit on servings.

#service : 3.5/5 Quite prompt though at many times the housekeeping staff did take 2-3 reminders before coming to our room. The staff at the reception was pretty rude investigating our ID proof and talking in high tone. There needs to be better training for the reception staff

#Cleanliness : 4.5/5 Well maintained property with clean room and hall ways. It has a large ground for weddings and even then there was minimum noise in the room.

#location: 3/5 The approach to the hotel is perpetually choked due to bad traffic, people movement from nearby village and bad management. The property is huge but you will definitely need google map to reach the place. There is nothing in the vicinity and the resort garden is your best bet for a walk

#value for money : 4/5 We got the room for sub 1500 price and the amenities in themselves make the stay worth for the buck. Anything above 3000 for the room is a bad bargain as you can get better located hotel with similar facilities at lower rate If the attitude of the reception staff is improved, I will definitely recommend...

Just by creating a lucrative structure you can't guarantee that you are a hospitality professional. Being a hospitality professional means to listen to your customers and not always just giving explanations that too when ,when you know nothing about how worse your products and services are. From the top management of the hotel to the last person at the shop floor no one seems to be taking charge of guest's requirement/ complaint/ feedback.

We have had our sister's wedding event at the resort and from the day one not a single responsible person/manager was allotted for our event. Lunches were the most unplanned and failure affair, only a supervisor and a runner were struggling to manage the entire lunch for 100 odd people. Nan- Rotis were not coming out of the kitchen only and we ourselves have to get involved in bringing the same to serve our guests,Ice cream was completely missed till we pointed out after more than half of the people were through with their meal and suprisingly there was no sorry feeling and moreover the reply was so irresponsible.

It's a good property run by set of highest level of unworthy and unprofessionals. The only good thing happened for our Events was the decor done by Mr. Hussain, for which we never had to say / ask anything and he was just a call away all the times for all our last minute requirements. BRAVO Mr. HUSSAIN. THE CHEF'S team is also nice and accomodative but the operation' s team including front office, house keeping and f& B service is a huge disaster.
