Big Mountain Resort — Hotel in Dongkya Range

It's location is the most positive thing about this place. You could get a 120 degree view of mountain ranges just from your room window. This homestay is surrounded by mountains from two sides. Both of the views are magnificent. 1st floor rooms are good and well maintained whereas ground floor rooms are worse and not even maintained properly. We experienced power outage without any backup for very long period and had to rely on candle light. Staffs are ok. Can organise a bonfire, extra charges apply. Food is also ok. Also have a few grocery stores down the steps beside the homestay. Overall the scenic beauty is overwhelming. And also it is close to yumthang valley, so if anyone planning to visit yumthang valley from Gangtok, they might stay here a night and next morning njy the sunrise and leave for...

Need to improve services and room maintenance. Room heater is chargeable basis rs 500/- per day. In negative temperature during night. Rooms not clear. You can see spider nets near bed and bathrooms. Most of rooms ventilator are open so you can feel freshly chilled air in rooms during -ve temperature. Out side and inside hotel is equal temperature.

Enjoy with own risk but don't stay with infant baby and family....

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. No service. They don't even give you water in the room. You have to take water from the dining room, even though it is sometimes cold water. The bed is very much uncomfortable. The wooden floor is dusty, no mattress or something on that in this cold situation. Staff behaviour is very rude. Food is untouchable, no taste....
