Laze Around Us — Hotel in Goa

Just spent a month with family here. Below average place and worth only if you get it really cheap.

I will start with cons as that's what matters most: This place is not a villa but a twin bungalow. The wall has gaps and you can hear your neighbor breathe. Every word they speak is audible and vice-versa.

They should not call it sunshine as the rooms are very dark until you turn on the lights. Forget natural light when inside, anytime during the day.

The garden shown in the pictures is not a garden. The whole frontage is covered with ballast. So no soil. The plants are the boundaries only.

It's situated on a busy road. Good night if honking is your thing.

Furniture quality is below average. Water pressure in bathrooms is pathetic. Taps in both washrooms can't be operated simultaneously. The water purifier is that old one where you need to wait a minute for the water to come out. Roof leaks during heavy rains.

The host promised that the internet is awesome here and Jio network works just fine. However, no network works. Don't even think of working from here. Needless to mention that the 'host' never showed up and started acting rude when complained about a few things not working. (Fan was fixed though). Hosts told us that there are several home-cooked meal options available close by. However, when enquired upon arrival no option was provided.

The housekeeping staff was good. We did have to wash utensils again after they left for two reasons: their washing was bad and we didn't feel like complaining to the host as they are rude.

Car parking is open - get's all the advertised sunshine.

The location of this place is not too great either. Beaches are quite far away.

Pros: Safe. Good neighborhood. Regular housekeeping. Market not too far away. Things work. Broken...

Recently stayed at a house hosted by Laze Around Us by name Wait&Sea 2BHK at Atlantis Beach Resort, Near Calangute. I would say it is not worth the price. we booked it after reading reviews but the place is in delipidated condition. Dirty staircase and bad upkeep. Rooms are tiny and bedsheets were dirty. The whole place smell bad. only one bathroom and that too lacked in basic things like tap of washbasin was broken. Kitchen utensils were so dirty u will not want to cook in them. As mentioned that place is just 500 meters from beach it is also wrong info, it is at least 2 kms from any beach. The owner charged us 1500/- extra for cleaning and the sheets were not changed daily by the caretaker. Please don't book it if u are used to stay at 3 or 4 star properties like us , u will be disappointed. Wish I could post some pictures but I am leaving it here not to tk any further. Horrible founders and company. I had booked on 8th May for a check in planned for 14th -17th June via their OWN website Laze Around Us.

20 mins before reaching the location, I inform the guy I will be reaching the location in 20 minutes. To which his response is "Hello Yash Because of an AirBnB calendar bug, there was a double booking. The villa is available for tonight, so you can stay there for tonight. Will refund the amount for balance 2 nights 26500 is your total, will refund 17667"

After back and forth communication, and booking other properties last minute we ended up paying extra 9k for a different property in Goa that met our requirements plus had to shell out additional money for cabfare
