Seagull Resort — Hotel in Goa

Having dined at Seagull Resort for lunch on New Year's eve, following a recommendation from my uncle, we were left really disappointed with the service from our waiter and the food that arrived. ||||We ordered a prawn pulao, pomfret grilled, kingfish reshad, and mackerel reshad. It took around 5 attempts to place the order with the waiter who was quite slow and could not take the order properly even though his English was pretty good. He didn't seem suited to waiting at all, no charm, not smile, no conversation. He confirmed that the pomfret was big enough for one person.||||When the food arrived, it came in drips and drabs, and the pomfret was so small, we thought it was a baby pomfret that would not even feed one person. Unfortunately, we had to call for the manager and for another waiter.||||When the food arrived, the only item that actually had taste was the prawn pulao. The king fish and the mackerel were tasteless which was disappointing. Whilst eating, the original waiter would just stare at us during the meal, not sure if he was checking if we needed any more drinks or not, but it was quite uncomfortable. We left dissatisfied.||||On the plus side, the views of the river are amazing, and the surrounds are so serene and it's well off the beaten path. It's not a sophisticated restaurant, but more of a bistro - and might be worth a visit on any other day. I do believe we just had bad...

We stayed @the new service apartments from 26 - 29 Dec'18 (3N).|It was too short, brief but, an amazing experience, like before.|Beautiful property, cut-off and away from the main hub and hustle bustle - very serene, peaceful place.|Well done apartments with all the essentials plus more, clean and beautiful and extremely big for we 03 (adult daughter, spouse and myself) - total value for money!|Elton is a wonderful host / owner a his father, Frank - very nice people.|A must revisit for us with a longer stay.|Thank you Elton & Frank for making it a memorable...

Silent and peaceful. The restaurant faces the River Sal. Rooms are cheap. Non A/c Rs. 1200 and A/c Rs. 1800. TV with satellite cable in all rooms. Parking space available. Food is excellent specially pork chilly and other goan cuisines. Pretty much organised. Orders for food are taken only till 10 pm so that was a bit of a disappointment. Else perfect for unwinding and relaxing. Even if you don't plan on staying, you can try out the food. You'll be happy with the quantity and the price as well. Easy on pocket. Easy on the mind....
