Cafe Oakwood Chalet — Hotel in Great Himalayan Range

I’ve had the luck of going to Manali three times and every time I’ve stayed here. ||||The service is beyond incredible, they provided breakfast, lunch and dinner (and delivered lunch 20 minutes away). Coming from an Indian home in London, I’m used to tasty food, but this went far beyond my expectations. The chef cooked a variety of cuisines, all to an exceptional standard. ||||The rooms are cosy but spacious, there is plenty of hot water (which isn’t the case everywhere in Manali) and free WiFi (again not the case everywhere). ||||The chalet is run by a family who are very welcoming and treat you as part of their own. They have an abundance of advice on the best day trips, treks and sights all around Kullu and Manali, and can speak perfect English. ||||The chalet is a 15-20 minutes drive from Manali town, but the peace and safety in this distance is a valuable contrast to the hotels in the town centre. ||||Overall, if you’re coming to Manali, there is really no...

Loved this place. I was on tour from Jaipur to Ladakh with my team. We have 2 days stay in manali. This place is almost 15km outside the manali and in very beautiful location in Sarsai. The ambiance and surrounding is so scenic and natural that anyone can fall in love with this place. Owner mr. Sundar ji and his family members taking care of this place and visitors also feel like their family members too. Very warm and nice service. Food is amazingly good and mr. Avinash who is also owner, himself cooking food for guests. Room service is good and they have their kitchen garden. most of vegetables for cooking will available from there. The experience was amazing from start to end. Very welcoming hosts. Rooms, dining area and the lawn were a treat. Every thing was just great, but the things which made me fall in love with this place were:||1. They will cook any thing u want and at any time that pleases u. They even packed our breakfast for the way at 5 am in the morning. Where do u get that.||2. Everybody just kept smiling for some reason and were extremely polite.||3. They have a very comfy and cosy common room where we all sat to play games.||4.
